  1. Sometimes I think God is just f***** with me to make me stay up late at night/morning. I mean he could have the Red Sox win by a lot early on so I can go to bed, but I'm sure he'd rather have it drag out so that I stay up until 3-4am for the finish. Ugh.
  2. For the record they aren't that closely related, such that it's possible (and often) to have one without the other. Besides, I figured I'd need a map and a government grant in order to find the damn thing. Dice-K would have a better shot at a perfect game (with Lugo in the field).
  3. Now I can go to sleep. And it isn't even 2:30 AM yet so that's a good night for me over here in the UK. Finally a Red Sox win. I figured I was going to find my girlfriend's g-spot before another Boston win.
  4. Why do we always seem to rarely give Wakefield run support?
  5. If I stay up until the end of the game (roughly 3 am) and the Sox lose again then I'm going to be really pissed off. The West Coast games didn't end until 6 am my time.
  6. I don't think I could handle another close loss. Or a close late loss.
  7. Thank you Dojji! God, I thought I was the only one who recognised that Lopez was good before this past year.
  8. I would miss Lopez. He was horrible this year, I don't think anyone would argue that, but I think he was very underrated for the 2 previous seasons and I feel that his contributions had been ignored. I don't know what the problem is this season (specifically, other than the obvious) but I wish him the best wherever he goes.
  9. The way Garza has pitched and the way the Rays have owned us, I figured the former was the only strong possibility.
  10. That certainly makes a Red Sox loss easier to handle.
  11. I'd say move Masterson to the bullpen, phantom DL Lopez and keep Jones on the roster. Or we can take Julio Lugo behind the clubhouse and beat him until we can put him on the 60 day DL and then just put Lopez at SS. I doubt his fielding is any worse than Lugo's.
  12. I don't know about pitcher's hitting HR's before Ortiz, but I bet that Lugo will have a Web Gem before Ortiz cranks one.
  13. Dang, and I figured that Bard would have been the most useless signing in the offseason. How much are we boned on the Wilkerson deal?
  14. We should give him a Silver Slugger for those numbers. I think he's more in line for .242 14 HR 53 RBI.
  15. Thanks a lot Wake Forest. This is going to be a long tournament. I knew at least one 12 was going to beat a 5, but I didn't think that 3 of them would.
  16. Although I won't miss his numbers on the team, the dude had a personality and he definitely wasn't afraid to throw down if it came to it...I'd "rent" him for a few games against the Yanks/Rays if need be...
  17. I also don't understand the above sentiment(s) towards Lopez. I'm probably biased for him, but he's been one of the few relievers I haven't seen question marks with. His numbers have been good and consistent, so I don't see any reason/logic behind replacing him. It can't be his personality/lack of personality, and it can't be the money...
  18. I'm not really surprised that Littleton is gone. Although it was only Spring Training, I still haven't been impressed by him, and he was never considered a ringer. What I am surprised by is Ramon Ramirez...well at least it's only Spring Training... Do we still have to pay Littleton, and if so how much?
  19. When he made contact the ball went further than anything hit by Adam Dunn. The problem is that Chuck Norris cries more often than Willy Mo Pena makes contact. It's almost as if he were closing his eyes and swinging as hard as he could...
  20. I share that sentiment. I was so pissed off with his suspension last year, and Price's injury 4 minutes into the tournament...it almost seems that Uconn's season is destined for a short but pointless exit. Might as well rip the bandaid off now I guess...
  21. As a big Uconn fan I'm disappointed with the loss, especially to Syracuse (I don't like them) but it was a great game. Hopefully they can save up for the tournament...Dyson or not they need to start stringing together some quality wins... On another note...there have been many great games on today alone...Syracuse/WV, Duke/BC (other than the finish) UNC/VA Tech, and FSU/G Tech. It's a great day/night for college hoops.
  22. I doubt that Traber would even make that team. I'd rather have Littleton pitch left handed than to have Traber...
