    He was a good acquisition. Guy was a 2 fWAR player last few years and was hurt early this season. His ceiling was higher than any 2b on the current 40 man. He was moved for a guy potentially taken in the next Rule 5 draft, but still in A ball. I don’t think it was a move to fix the problems of this year.

The 21-year-old from Florida Atlantic is hitting .370/.510/.493 in 21 minor league games. Nolan Schanuel was seen as perhaps the most big league-ready hitter in this draft, with incredible production (.447/.615/.868 with 71 walks and 14 strikeouts in 289 PA) at FAU. But this fast a promotion exceeds the loftiest expectations. Angels doing everything they can to win. Nolan Schanuel's promotion by the Angels is the fastest for a player in decades, according to @ESPNStatsInfo. The last US-born player to debut within 40 days of being drafted: Texas pitcher Jerry Don Gleaton in 1979. The last position player: Toronto catcher Brian Milner in 1978.

    Casas has 55 BB's, Devers has 42. Only 5 batters are on pace for 100 BB's: Soto, Schwarber, Olson, Happ, Ohtani. Right now, Devers is who he is. He's not going to change.
