    Casas is 3 years younger and is showing signs of improvement over the last several weeks. Duran is going the opposite direction. I'm not saying it's time to send him to WOO, just to temper expectations. He's probably a 4th OFer at best.

    The postseason is a CRAPSHOOT and SMALL SAMPLE SIZE! Honestly, I just didn't remember what he did during it. I remember him tripping over 2b and being largely ineffective for most of 2021.

    26, but I agree that he's not a very good base stealer. He runs the bases well because of his speed, but he's not a great base stealer. It's two different skillsets.

    It's not cherry picking because we've seen him be ineffective at the MLB level the previous 2 seasons. 687 OPS in 130 games. This is his third go around.

    16 of those RBI were from 4/1 - 4/12. He wasn't JD MARTINEZ from 4/13-10/1/21. He started off hot and was kinda crappy the rest of the way.

    JD sucked for 2 years. Nobody was clamoring to bring him back. Stop it. Betts wasn't coming back because Henry wasn't going to pay him. Complaining about Dombrowski draft picks? Important clubhouse guys? That's why they brought Justin Turner here! What even is staying on message?!?

    The record was mediocre, but that team felt worse than that. They had a lot of big names and just fell flat coming off the ALCS.

    It was 2 separate thoughts. Coffey isn't challenged. The 5th starter in POR (Nail), isn't a starter. He can go to the pen.

    I think he has a career in MLB too. I just think the best chance for him to have a VERY GOOD career is to let him fully develop in the minors first and not rush him. He's clearly not mastered AA yet.

    No, they won't reach the playoffs, but they'll be in the race at the beginning of September. That's more than we could say for the moribund 2022 Sox. Hey, it could all still fall apart. This team has sucked at times, but overall it has been better than 2022.

    His approach hasn't changed and his power has all but disappeared in 2023. Not what the Sox had hoped for from him.
