  1. It can only get better right? They are on pace for a 58-104 season. Can't possibly be that bad!
  2. Fans will be even more pissed at a rebuild since we just did one. "Another five years of this???" If you believe in Crochet, Roman, Tolle, Early, Abreu, Rafaela, that's enough pieces to add to for the Sox become a playoff contender if you do it right.
  3. Fenway is a tourist attraction. It would take years and years of a bad product for attendance to crater at this point.
  4. Weissert with runners on is a bad idea. A mediocre bullpen has been run ragged by a rotation that doesn't go long.
  5. You need KC and Romero to be OPSing in the 900's for the WOO numbers to matter.
  6. None of those guys could give this team a boost.
  7. Red Sox April 2022: 65 wRC+ (29th) -1 fWAR (29th) 12 HR (25th) 273 OBP (28th) 266 wOBA (28th) 0.27 BB/K (30th) 38% Pull (27th)
  8. 1,000,000% They are stuck with Breslow for a few years or have to hire internally. The last interview process didn't go smoothly. This one would be even worse if Breslow is terminated before the start of the '28 season.
  9. If that's the case, they are stuck with this crew until the end of the year.
  10. If Durbin was playing GG defense, I'd have more hope. He's lucky that he's throwing the ball to Contreras because he gets bailed out all the time. If Casas or Dalbec was over there, his numbers would be trash.
  11. Tek has been around this team for years as the run prevention guy and the team hasn't really prevented runs. I don't know how great of a job he'd do at managing. This team probably needs a brand new voice in there to take control.
  12. Wood has reached his power potential. Roman Anthony may never get there.
  13. Romero will get a look at some point. His k% is much lower this year, but I think they want him to pull the ball more and keep that k% down for more than just a few weeks. His 710 OPS isn't really telling the whole picture, but I think they'll want him to have more on field success before giving him the callup. Capra is just a 29 year old journey man. He didn't perform all that well in stints with the White Sox or Brewers last year. He can hit AAA pitching and that's good enough to keep the fans in WOO happy.
  14. He led off twice for the Brewers last year, but hit no higher than 6th otherwise. His most frequent BOP was 8th or 9th.
  15. Throwing a name around isn't really trying.
  16. He can magically bunt now too. He was rotten when he was here.
  17. The ship will reach its destination eventually. It just won't be what they originally booked.
  18. You're welcome.
