Wouldn't they have Duvall's contract, Turner's contract, Kluber's contract, Kiké's contract and remaining cap space (assuming Devers uses Barnes/Bleier/Brasier/Tapia contract amounts)? That's closer to 35M to spend.

Agreed. He hasn't put it together for the MLB team yet. His drafts have been fine. His offseason maneuvers have left something to be desired.

Oh, does he reach 650 often? What's the OPS this year? If he's a bad defender, why go for a guy with an OPS under 800? Weren't people trying to run Yoshida out of town and he's producing better than Renfroe?

That's fine. He's a good fit for a team that can field the ball. All I said is that a guy who gives up hard contact would not be best served with the Red Sox defense playing behind him. Is that wrong?
