  1. How is that TEX’s fault tho?
  2. And now for something completely different: According to Baseball Korea, a top HS pitching prospect, Chan-sol Lee has a offer on the table from the #RedSox. Lee was expected to be a 1st RD pick in the upcoming #KBO draft and will make the decision sometime this week whether to forgo the draft and sign w/ Boston.
  3. @Sean_McAdam Red Sox announce they have re-instated Pablo Reyes from the IL and optioned pitchers Brandon Walter and Justin Garza to Worcester.
  4. Yu Chang really wasn't part of the farm. He was claimed off of waivers (4 MLB teams in 2022). He's only appeared in 8 games in the Sox minor league system, but all on rehab in 2023.
  5. How did TEX wreck Gabbard's arm exactly? He only pitched 12 games? Threw over 100 pitches in a game only once.
  6. Wikelman had a 1.44 WHIP in High A. He really wasn't pitching all that great this season. One game isn't getting him into the top 100. Perales is close to the top 100. Hard to say how close as some evaluators have said he may be a reliever. He also threw less than 40 professional innings prior to this year and will already have to be protected from the Rule 5 draft this offseason.
  7. I think Giolito and Lynn are available from the ChiSox, but they are mean. Lorenzen from the Tigers has been mentioned but he's kind of surly. Jordan Montgomery must be a douche because he played for the Yankees. Rich Hill is probably cantankerous because of his old age.
  8. JD - 1.5 fWAR JT - 1.7 fWAR Soler - 1.5 fWAR (bonus)
  9. Currently, all picks are signed except for Riemer, Call, Schlaegel, Orloski. The 3 HS guys are most likely not going to sign. "Sources" have indicated that Riemer will sign before the deadline (Tuesday 5pm), that the hold up was just logistics of getting him to either Boston or the Fort. If he signs, it seems like it's another strong hitter focused draft.
  10. He doesn't know how to build a bullpen though.
  11. His defense f***ing sucks though.
  12. Since May 1: 290 AVG 908 OPS 145 wRC+ We all knew his April was terrible. He can't go back and fix that. He's been very good since then. No complaints.
  13. What team will have better trade deadline acquisitions than Story, Sale, Whitlock and Houck?!?!?
  14. Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes has been on the injured list for just over a month due to an abdominal strain, and most of that time has been spent on a rehab assignment. That rehab assignment is set to expire today, meaning the club will be forced to either roster or DFA Reyes, who is out of options, by the start of tomorrow’s game. That will create a logjam of middle infielders who can’t be optioned on the roster, with Enrique Hernandez, Yu Chang, and Christian Arroyo all also fitting that description. While this logjam would seemingly create a situation where the Red Sox must trade or DFA a player in that group, MLB.com’s Ian Browne indicated yesterday that Arroyo is dealing with a jammed right thumb. If Arroyo, who hasn’t played since July 18, were to require a trip to the 10-day injured list, that would kick the can down the road for Boston until after the trade deadline on August 1, allowing them to keep all four players in the organization for longer and preserve leverage in trade negotiations.
  15. The knock was that he added in too many prospects as throw ins that didn't need to be added. He would just throw in additional guys to sweeten the pot.
  16. If people keep repeating stuff enough, maybe it'll be true though!
  17. @jimcallisMLB 1st-rder Kyle Teel signs w/@RedSox for $4 million (pick 14 value = $4,663,100). @UVABaseball C, consensus best catcher in @MLBDraft, monster .407/.465/.655 year, very athletic for position, strong arm. Teel goes for $663k under slot.
  18. @redsoxstats Senga's coming into Fenway tonight pitching like a stud. In his last 8 starts, he has a 2.45 ERA, .175 BAA, and 31% K rate. In his 2 starts in July, he pitched 14 innings, 2 R, 3 BB, 21 K. Over the past month, batters have swung at 46 forkballs and whiffed 30 times.
  19. 1. Duran LF 2. Turner 2B 3. Yoshida DH 4. Devers 3B 5. Duvall CF 6. Verdugo RF 7. Casas 1B 8. Wong C 9. Chang SS
  20. Perales will finally make his GRE debut today in the first game of the double header.

Phoenix Call 17. Dylan Schlaegel 20. Robert Orloski If Mike's numbers are right, Call, Schlaegel and Orloski won't sign.
  22. According to the Denver Post, the Colorado Rockies are moving the former Boston Red Sox starting pitcher to a relief role after a rough run this season. Seabold has gone 1-7 with a 7.18 ERA this season in 20 games, including 13 starts. Seabold’s ERA in games he started was 7.63.
  23. @SPChrisHatfield My guess (hope?) is we get a draft signing announcement for most of the Red Sox class today. Seems everyone is putting pen to paper who's in Ft. Myers. In theory, they could wait for Teel and Zanetello, the latter having told @ChrisCotillo he's signing tomorrow. @ChrisCotillo I think a release is coming today. Teel BP likely today at Fenway
  24. Crawford vs Senga
  25. Oh, then the Sox should go get a guy from the Rays to run the org then!
