  1. They acquired Hamilton thinking that they'd be able to turn him into Caleb Durbin. They don't have the same skillset. I think Hamilton's defense has always been overrated.
  2. Hamilton ended the game last night with a big E against the Mets. He's getting too much run in MIL and shouldn't be an everyday guy.
  3. Charlotteans have an NBA team that they barely support and have couldn't even keep the 4 Horsemen around. My guess is that Rick Flair has secretly bankrupted the metro area. They are not deserving.
  4. They can sit firmly on the bench. Story's rally killing k's aren't needed.
  5. The other places I've heard suggested are Nashville, Orlando and Portland. I think Salt Lake would be as bad for pitchers as Denver is. None of the cities suggested scream out to me as a complete lock.
  6. Hard to really project what attendance would look like. The metropolitan area is smaller than Tampa and they haven't been able to adequately fill that stadium since inception. When you look at Texas and Houston, there is a strong correlation between W/L % and attendance. For an expansion team, that could be a little ugly.
  7. Once they bring IKF and Story back, the turns will have tabled.
  8. Hull looks interesting so far. Not a lot of names that I'd be upset over losing this offseason TBH.
  9. I wouldn't say 19 is very young for A- these days. Justin and Arias are for sure young for their levels.
  10. Alonso's HR may have been foul. BAL doesn't have a good angle showing a ball hit down the line. The one where it looks fair is angled from the dugout. Why don't they just have a camera installed on top of the pole? That'd just make too much sense.
  11. It's funny that we just kinda stopped hearing about how trading David Hamilton was a mistake for some reason...
  12. He has a 787 OPS right now and a 289 AVG. This could be his peak. I think people are expecting a little too much out of his bat. He's been more than anyone on here expected. Saying that he needs to do even more than what he's currently doing is ridiculous. Rafaela at 750 OPS has an insane amount of value. Anything above that is found money.
  13. Uhhh, 0.1 dWAR... Not a great showing in the HR derby... Their team that nobody goes to watch is bilking the state for $2B in funding... #notmyJunior
  14. They have a decent offense and a good rotation. They didn't go through a tremendous slump like the Sox did at the start of the season. Are the Sox the better team right now? Maybe? The Rays were able to build a substantial division lead because they've just played well all year.
  15. He wanted money, not the position. If the Sox ponied up the dollars, he'd be here at DH.
  16. Me. I said they should sign him to be DH. That's more than enough since I'm just so wonderful.
  17. 1. Will Alex be road tripping to the field of dreams game next season? 2. Rank who should have been booed the loudest in their return to Fenway: Manny, Damon, Raffy. 3. Rafaela is 3rd in AL bWAR and 5th in AL fWAR. Is he a legitimate MVP candidate?
  18. Rafaeala Whiff % 24 9th percentile 25 34th percentile 26 43rd percentile He's trending closer to average. Not quite there yet, but someday. It also shows the state of the game as to what an average hitter is TBH.
