    I wasn’t really able to track down the FanGraphs calc. It was just a vague description. Exit velo makes more sense to me too. Over or under 95mph. Simple.

    Statcast uses just exit velo. Fangraphs uses Baseball Info Solutions which excludes exit velo.

    ERA is actually up from the last two seasons! Why would I average 90-10? There are three completely different versions of baseball in there (pre-steroid era, steroid era and post steroid era) with differing impacts on runs. I don't need to state anything more than what I did. You said it was a pitcher's year. I showed Papi's last year and his 05 year when he was 2nd in the MVP. The league ERA was similar to what we have this year. It wouldn't affect Yordan or his MVP votes IMO.

    A pitcher's year? League Average ERA is 4.17. In Papi's last year it was 4.18. In 2005, it was 4.28.

    The argument goes back to before the season. Grichuk is a better platoon bat than White or Jones. It's not close.
