  1. Yes, Yamamoto PLUS!
  2. I try not to dabble in psychotherapy.
  3. Regardless, I don't think there's a fit for him here.
  4. His contract was a 3 year deal though. That's not a large battle with Mr Time.
  5. It's the offseason. I'm not squinting. I'd be a believer.
  6. It didn't work when he re-signed Raffy.
  7. ERod was potentially a candidate, but Breslow said they preferred to wait for Imanaga and Yamamoto rather than jump on ERod. Fine. Gray was the only name that was a potential miss. Nola wasn't leaving PHI.
  8. They'd be better, but it's not the FULL THROTTLE competing for a World Series trajectory that Werner and Wormtongue were talking about a few weeks ago. I don't think they are going to be WS contenders this year whatsoever, but this should be an offseason to get them on track. These aren't the moves that get them on track IMO. These are 2022 starting rotation type moves.
  9. So they COULD, they just don't might not WANT to? If that's they case they'd never be serious FA players again.
  10. If his hit tool was better, he'd be the 2B. If his arm was better, he could be a SS somewhere. I don't think he could be a starting SS for ANY MLB team.
  11. Why can't they? Yanks have some pretty large contracts on the books right now.
  12. Is he ambidextrous?
  13. If we are adding Maeda to the conversation, I guess we need to add Gibson too.
  14. Only 3 notable starters have been signed so far.
  15. Yeah, but not good enough to be a playoff team.
  16. I'd trade Paulino for India, but I think India is a 3B and we already have one.
  17. One of the worst fielder's in the game.
  18. Why would they trade a pre-Arb guy that is actually productive?
  19. Let's get some Helcris Olivarez talk going. Is he a left handed Bryan Mata that could potentially impact the Sox bullpen at some point in '24?
  20. He needs to work on his utility and be able to play at a multitude of positions. He needs more reps at 2B, CF and LF IMO. I think we already know what he is at SS.
  21. @tylermilliken_ From @jcmccaffrey and @chadjennings22 on the Red Sox search for 2B help: “According to two people with knowledge of the situation, the Red Sox have considered Whit Merrifield and touched base with his representatives, but talks have been largely preliminary with no current traction toward a deal, though that could change as the market begins to move and the Red Sox settle on a more definitive direction.” Breslow pointed to the Red Sox looking more at the trade market for help at the winter meetings. Merrifield is vaguely interesting, but he isn't the great glove 2B they have been talking about acquiring.
  22. I agree with you. I'd put Hamilton after Alcantara for now.
  23. I don't see it for a guy with 2 TJS unless there are terms about innings. If he gets a fully guaranteed 600M contract with the 75/25 chance he's a DH long term, that's a horrible bet.
  24. Breslow will only pursue him if he already knows what he can spend. I think he knows the budget and the market. Bloom seemed to always be surprised by the market.
  25. You forgot to type this in green.
