  1. Sox have a -12 Run Differential. Five teams worse than them in the AL. So they are a lower-middle of the pack team, but maybe not the dregs. Sure. If they keep it up, they'll be on the outside looking in at the trade deadline while being 4 games out when 6-7 teams are "still in it" because of the sheer amount of playoff spots now.
  2. Braiden Ward's Exit Velo would be near last in MLB. Not many players have a skillset like his and are productive in this day and age.
  3. Seigler has always been able to hit MiLB pitching. After getting the call last season, he hit like Durbin with less power. He's a jack of all trades type player.
  4. Since Cora was fired: 11th in Batting fWAR 4th in SB 1st in DRS 2nd in OAA/FRV 29th in BS 30th Hard Hit Rate Starting Pitchers (lowest) It's a team that is playing great defense and has starters that give up weak contact. The hitters still aren't doing much and the bullpen is pretty mediocre at best. Really had to stretch it to find some positives in the numbers.
  5. What do you mean "still want?" They wanted Mayer and Tolle/Early.
  6. Apparently Rafaela has started to take grounders at 2b. 👀

  8. The closer they get to the end of the year, the more likely they can eat one or more of the underwater contracts. If they are out of it at the deadline, Story and Masa are both gone IMO.
  9. SP updated their rankings. Debuts or Return to Top 60 Jack Anderson at 54 Tsung-Che Cheng at 59 Notable Risers Anthony Eyanson from 6 to 3 Yoeilin Cespedes from 35 to 20 Eduardo Rivera from 33 to 21 Yophery Rodriguez from 56 to 36 Dylan Brown from 60 to 40 Johanfran Garcia from 52 to 44 Notable Fallers Allan Castro from 16 to 24 Nelly Taylor from 23 to 38 Miguel Bleis from 34 to 39 Ryan Watson from 31 to 47 Noah Song from 42 to 55
  10. His 4 seamer is averaging 98.3. His bb rate is down. I'd just rather watch him than Watson.
  11. That's not a bad quote. "Sox have to work hard. Don't settle for mediocrity. Need to win." Fine.
  12. All time career leader in OBP. Is that good? Bonds leads in total BB's at 2558. Ted was 4th at 2021. Yaz was 6th at 1845.
  13. He led the league in OBP in 12 seasons. He only won the batting title 6 times.
  14. 04 had 13 songs on the soundtrack vs only 9 for 05, plus one of the 05 songs was TESSIE! 🤮 No HR derby in 04.
  15. I believe in MVP 04 for XBox, you could get points at the end of the season for various things like winning a batting title or team batting average or whatever. It would go towards giving you a higher payroll in subsequent seasons. Hits are definitely on the scoreboard though. Errors too, FWIW.
  16. Guerrero doesn't have much time left on his arm. See if you can get lightning in the bottle. If it's not real, you still have Slaten coming back soon and Rivera in WOO. What's the harm? Other teams churn through AAA arms. Sox need to start doing that with some bullpen arms that could have impact. I don't think Jack Anderson really pushes the needle for me. I guy that can pump velo does.
  17. The scoreboard stuff catches up over the long haul if there aren't underlying issues. He's fine. His numbers aren't.
  18. Like I said, let's just drop it. It's an argument that started to get too personal so find other things to post about please.
