    They used to be at the top of the mountain in terms of spending. Now they are not. It's fine if people still complain over a lack of spending. Sox are 3rd in revenue. Why not 3rd in spending?

    Yeah, he just gave up 10 runs. Had nothing left in the tank (effort wise). Gave up two bombs. He wanted out of there. Who is saying that's coincidental??? He stunk and wanted out of the game.

    DHam was fine as a platoon 2b who hits 8th/9th. They weren't really willing to try him out as a UTIL guy, MIL is.

    My only quibble is giving Wong and Mayer the same grade. Wong has really exceeded expectations, hit better than Mayer and in half the time on the field generated almost the same fWAR as Mayer. Wong was terrible last season and many thought he might not make the cut in ST. He's been great so far. There's a lot of regression coming for him, but enjoy it while the balls are falling in for him.

    KC's swing data is getting better. More flyballs. Even if he's not strictly a pull hitter, I'll take it.

    I think both Holobetz and Mullins need to move up by midseason. I'd move up Holobetz first. Leighton Finley could be on the list for a promotion in the near term too if a spot opens up. Dylan Brown was recently promoted to GRE. College pitchers just mow down hitters in low A. Once there are spots in GRE, those guys get moved up if they are pitching decently.

    Oh no, he REALLY wanted to stay in a game and finish out the 4th inning when he had already given up 10 runs and nobody was warming.

    If the Tigers weren't logging multiple bullpen games and had a rotation that looked like the 2020 Sox, he wouldn't have been out there for the 4th. He was pissed that he had to give up those 10 runs and pouted by hitting Story. If he was just given a warning, he would have hit another batter that inning.

    He'll have 3-4 decent seasons left. May need to move off 2b to 1b or DH at some point. His numbers aren't great right now, but he seems to be a victim of SSS.

    The second Duran got consistent PA's, he's really taken off (1310 OPS May). Several of us were asking for that. Duran isn't a guy that can perform well if he's getting too much time on the bench. If they had an average hitter at 3b rather than a bottom 5 hitter, would it make a big difference? Of course! If they benched Story, moved Rafaela to 2b and Mayer to SS, does the offense become a little better? Most likely! Moving Story to 2b short term at least gives Story a chance to pull himself out of his slump. If he still stinks at the end of May, time to go I guess. He's been one of the worst hitters in all of baseball! Is there an easy fix for Roman? Probably not! The levers you have right now Duran/Story/Durbin who were also your worst performers. Either figure out how to get them to play better (check for Duran!) or swap them out for more productive players. Pining for Devers at this point is worthless.
