The problem with going with a Mayer/Shaw IF is that there is a lot of risk that those two guys just aren't fully developed and will still take time to get there. Are they just leaning back into a youth movement? If so, might as well deal an OFer and call up KC too.
What if Shaw is just a guy who never hits in MLB and remains a below average fielder. That exit velo is scary. I would expect some improvement elsewhere.
