  1. Perales had 25 whiffs yesterday. Here they all are.
  2. https://x.com/MLBNetwork/status/1792912412867239940 A look into how Devers has adjusted his swing. One of only 3 guys with SLG of 500+ against FB/Offspeed/Breaking this year, one of only 3 guys in 90th percentile for hard hit % each of last 4 seasons, 3rd in total bases since 2019.
  3. Romero SS and Coffey 3B are both starting for Greenville at noon today. They haven't played next to each other in a long time.
  4. Chris Cotillo reported it on either his podcast or on MassLive. It was one of the reasons he was sent down.
  5. Let's revisit this at the end of the year. We've already had Giolito, Pivetta, Whitlock and Bello all hit the IL.
  6. They have Trevor Story on the payroll for a few more years and Mayer coming up. That should be enough for MIF. Paulino is also steadily moving his way up the org and is having a fine year.
  7. He got an RBI and made a smooth play at 2b last night that Valdez would have kicked to the warning track.
  8. Bloom was dumping him for nothing? That was the reported trade?
  9. You trying to 4 year ARB Mayer?
  10. Brock Holt had a few seasons with the Sox where he got 500, but I think 300-500 is reasonable for a really good UTIL guy.
  11. He always busted his ass to get back on the mound. Can't be mad at him for that.
  12. Yes. You said "team has been 6-1 in Criswell starts" and mentioned run support. We have discussed issues with lack of run support for other starters that were shutting down other lineups. That's why I wrote "unlucky at times" and followed it up with "we'll see regression from a lot of these starters" since Crawford DOES HAVE a significant difference between ERA and xFIP. Criswell's ERA has already dropped a full run just over the previous 3 starts, which I believed would happen. Please, do us all a favor and read the posts you are responding to today.
  13. Oh, so he's been lucky then. And others like Crawford or Houck have been unlucky at times. Got it. I think we'll see regression from a lot of these starters. One thing that would help is better IF defense.
  14. Pencil him at 2B with Grissom on the bench as backup. Could do worse.
  15. Neither would be Story.
  16. So "freakish" that it happened to old man Xander a few days ago.
  17. In MiLB, they have to be accurate going forward due to the automatic k zone. No more fudging of the numbers.
  18. With Winckowski, it may be more about following direction. He was the one squeaky wheel who wasn't really taking Bailey's lead apparently.
  19. From SP: Field: Will start at shortstop but may need to move to second or third base eventually. He's now built like a running back too.
  20. Moon probably traded Casas and Raffy for some prospects with upside while eating 80% of Raffy's salary. Good deal for the Sox though!
  21. Story was great at 2b, just put him there again and keep the franchise SS where he's projected to be.
  22. Welcome to Mental Health Awareness Week on TalkSox!
  23. Did they trade Raffy too??????????????
  24. Not sure Story's arm can really handle 3B either.
