Bright side being him being the Opening Day starter in 2026 after they pick up the option after he pitches under 140 innings in 2025 and the Sox pay him only 14M to pitch in 2026?
Yeah, he was supposed to just be an innings eater, but was the only big get of the offseason. The rotation was still kind of a mess before he even went down with an injury. Most of us saw this as another punt by the ownership.
At best? Not too unreasonable.

Pivetta 32/180 (pitched 180 in '22)
Crawford 32/160 (prorated based on starts 6/20 and on)
Houck 25/125 (pretend that he's a little healthier)
Whitlock 22/120 (would be professional high in innings, but doesn't seem too crazy if he can make it to 22 starts.
