  1. I'm sure if I looked through 80k posts I could find one.
  2. Yes, you are being hypocritical.
  3. No MiLB tater tracker this year? None last night BTW.
  4. Gambrell, Criswell and Van Belle all were scoreless in their first outings of the year too. WooSox starter ERA is 1.00 so far.
  5. Yanks are really dragged down by their RFer this year.
  6. Wood Blackburn Stripling I mean, it's not horrible if they're healthy... Sears threw 170+ last year. Boyle just really has control problems and is probably a 5th starter or whatever.
  7. Almost?!?!?!? That's not the same thing! Embarrassing!
  8. Aside from my posts? I would have no idea!
  9. And how many trades are put through that system on a daily basis? I'm sure some of them have come about. At least people are now frustrated over BTV rather than WAR.
  10. Who thought Rafaela would learn anything in AAA? It was suggested that the Sox may put him in AAA to gain an extra year of control, which had nothing to do with him mastering AAA pitching.
  11. No problem with the Sale trade. The others could have been better.
  12. Ah, but you see Espinal is not a BEST because moon doesn't say so... We can only evaluate based on moon's perceived list.
  13. Now tell me your expectations for the current top 20 on SoxProspects... Is any prospect that doesn't hit their ceiling overrated?
  14. Yeah, with Rafaela, Bello, Crawford and Houck it was by luck IMO.
  15. Bello had a 5.43 ERA in 2019 in Low A. Did Dave even know who he was? Rafaela had only appeared in Lowell by 2019 (348 OPS). He never even OPS'd over 800 in the DSL. What was the trade value there? He hadn't even played an inning in the OF at that point. Crawford wasn't even a Sox top 20 prospect in 2019. Houck had already been converted to a bullpen arm in AAA at the end of 2019. He didn't pop until 2020.
  16. Overrated? Maybe. But there is risk with all prospects. Not every prospect works out. That's exactly why the current strategy of the Sox is faulty. The problem with DD was that he would just throw additional prospects into trades willy nilly as add ons when he could have held onto that capital for other trades or potential in house use. He just didn't value prospects as highly as others in the market. For example, while Anderson Espinoza for Drew Pomeranz didn't ultimately hurt the Sox, the Sox should have received more for a top 25 prospect.
  17. Does Dice-K count as an IFA? 2009: Dice-K, Lester, Buchholz, Masterson, Bowden, Tazawa
  18. Nope. Sox wanted to much payroll compensation in the offseason.
  19. The A's have big league players on the team. Bleday, Geloff and Davis all have value. Langeliers is a horrible defensive Catcher, but he did have 22 HR's last year. They have some decent pitchers on their staff. There is just a substantial dropoff when you get to the back of the bullpen. Every win counts.
  20. Seeing that Bello is the current #5 starter for the Sox, why would anyone watch that game? I only watched the first few innings then caught up on the rest this AM. Too many late starts!!!
  21. Amazing play. With Rafaela out there, we may no longer hear about how JBJ was the greatest CFer of all time.
  22. Trade bait. Sox have enough decent arms in the pen that somebody else should become the closer IMO.
  23. Let’s check back in on Bloom in 2029.
  24. The farm was better when he took over than when he left. Ben did pretty bad. DD wasn’t much better.
  25. DD traded from a farm that Ben had inherited. Ben and DD both did a poor job IMO.
