  1. Fans only vote for the starters and the 26th man or whatever. My post was in relation to all the guys that get selected purely on merit and not voting. (Online voting shows AVG, HR, RBI, OPS, Chance of All Star Game Appearance (ignoring future injury) Devers: 75% Houck: 95% Duran: 40% Slaten: 5% Wong: 5% Abreu: 1% Kutter: 0% Kenley: 0%
  2. Since returning to BOS at the end of May: 8 G 1096 OPS 222 BABIP 3 HR 8 RBI 5 R 3 K 2 BB Ride the hot streak for now.
  3. I couldn't figure it out either.
  4. Campbell was good at the start of the season. Got injured and fell off. He's been pitching great in AAA after rehabbing the injury. He'll be good if he gets the call again.
  5. Pivetta: minor league arms, 15-20 on a team's prospect list maybe. Jansen: less than Pivetta, maybe one arm or minor league everyday guy or young MLB reliever with upside.
  6. Also, Biggio is LHB.
  7. Biggio only has 1 MLB inning at SS. He's really a 2B/3B/corner OF.
  8. 393 OPS with WOO. H, BB, 2 K. A few lazy flyouts, weak groundball outs, 2 K's from a guy with a 7.67 k/9. The normal Masa experience. He's ready.
  9. Sox are very happy with the return they got for Verdugo at least (Fitts, Weissert, Judice).
  10. If you never balance the weight you are carrying, you're liable to wrench your back or spine. Very important to maintain proper load when carrying in the groceries, fellas.
  11. If I had to choose between the two, I'd take Drury.
  12. I'd take him on a waiver claim for sure.
  13. I hope they can just rest him and go easy on him this year. He's never thrown over 90 innings in a season and has a long injury history.
  14. Murphy had UCL surgery. I wouldn't want him carrying anyone's bags for a long time.
  15. Fulmer is on a minor league deal. Not sure how he even compares with the first two? Sign me up for 5 guys like Fulmer every year on minor league deals.
  16. I don't think that sounds good at all.
  17. I was making a John Henry reference.
  18. WOBA 215 XWOBA 299 BABIP 207 I think there's a bit of bad luck there and we've seen him turn it on in the past. It's just for the rest of the year and it's why I said "buy low."
  19. You just have unrealistic expectations for this starting rotation, moon.
  20. There's a lot of talk about his swing and it's very "loose" to me. It's a little all over the place. It's not a nice smooth swing like you see out of some players. I can see how he might get out of whack. He kind of muscles the ball the way Pence used to using his whole body. Almost out of control. If that's what works for him, great. I'm glad the Sox aren't tinkering with him in a bad way.
  21. IDK, I don't like wild swings in the rankings unless there's something really wrong with the player. Either he was extremely overrated before or he would be dumped on for a few bad months. We saw something similar with Lugo last season to now. I'd rather the ups and downs not be so dramatic, unless we really are a "hot or not" rankings system.
  22. SoxProspects noted that he really struggles with the changeup and had a 200 OPS against it so far.
  23. Duran is 8th in MLB bWAR Devers is 7th in MLB OPS, 10th offensive win % Houck is 4th in MLB bWAR for pitchers, 2nd ERA, 3rd WHIP, 3rd IP, 2nd ERA+
  24. He got the brace procedure and will be throwing in ST. I think it should be managed bullpen innings going forward like 2021.
