When he's tried to be more patient in AA/AAA, he just fell behind in the count and had worse OPS. It might not be what you want, but he needs to take his hacks. -
If the Sox really need to do it to free up space for the young guys, it may be necessary.

Maybe? I think the tickets were probably already sold. I don't think he's in line to earn additional money because of it. Maybe he gets a cut from Aramark sales, but I don't know how substantial it is.

We've known for the past few years that Rafaela's k zone recognition would look like this. I don't think sending him back to AAA would fix anything. He's a guy who is going to go up there and take a few healthy swings. That's why he's unlikely to have a higher than 750 OPS.

Good win. Still 4 games back. ‘22 and ‘23 squads would’ve lost this game/series though. This team has a good amount of fight.

2011 couldn't get across the finish line because they had no starting pitching in September and were dragging out a soon to be retired Wakefield. Wake had a 5.94 ERA over his final 7 starts with zero QS. 851 OPS 33 R 33.1 IP

I don't know about that. As an OFer with good defense and more years of control than Casas, Abreu would have a lot of value. 1b just ain't what they used to be.

Not sure anyone would have guessed Kristian Campbell as the riser this year. Tolle is already ranked 13th, so I don't think he'd rise much higher even if he shoves early on. Romero could keep climbing the ladder if he stays healthy and mashes. It'll be interesting to see how Johanfran comes back after his injury and plays in Greenville. I'm going to stick with my man Monegro and say that he keeps putting it together and turns more people into believers and gets close to the top 10 next season as he heads towards AAA. Valera also could be the guy who goes from 20ish to top 10 depending on how he looks in full season ball similar to Luis Perales' progression from a few years ago. For outside the top 30, I'll go with Justin Gonzales as a guy who sneaks into the top 20 next year.
