  1. moon wouldn't do the trade. I think it would be an easy yes for the Sox. Jays wouldn't do that deal. For Abreu? Maybe.
  2. 21 5.8 bWAR 22 3.7 bWAR 23 4.9 bWAR He has a 276 BABIP this season which is much lower than his career 341 mark.
  3. Crawford has a lot of CONTROL and is cheap. I don't see them moving him with how little Henry wants to spend. It's not like they are loaded with pitching prospects breaking the door down.
  4. Hamilton for Bichette is an easy yes.
  5. That rule goes back to pre-expansion days I believe.
  6. Abreu is a much better hitter than Bichette this season too.
  7. Worcester
  8. Anyway, Masa is back... Cooper DFA'd. Romy is in the clubhouse.
  9. Why do the records matter if they happened before you were born? I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE IMPOSSBLE DREAM SEASON!
  10. Thank god. If you get called up, I will start betting heavily AGAINST whatever team you play for. No offense.
  11. 474 winning % (Marlins at 460, Padres at 465, Rockies at 464) 11,279 losses (#1) 2 WS (Rockies, Padres have 0) They have a good claim at worst franchise of all time, but the 2 World Series titles kind of turns it around. Over the past 50 years, they've been a fairly good franchise. Their distant past is what drags them down. That's history pal! Marlins are pathetic, but have a few rings. Rockies and Padres have similar W/L and neither have won a World Series. Rockies have Rocktober. Padres beat the Cubbies for an episode of Punky Brewster. I believe the worst franchise of all time is the Padres. Their 5th highest career bWAR guy is Andy Ashby at 22.6 bWAR (he wouldn't be top 5 for the Rockies who have a 25 year disadvantage).
  12. Which Phillies DH is that? Castellanos or Schwarber?
  13. Good thing they can all use more time at AA then.
  14. His next goal is to win the WS while being under the CBT. He doesn't want the taint of expensive FA guys hanging around.
  15. You're not praying hard enough, unbeliever.
  16. Promotions just don't get handed to the best player all the time. Look at Karson Simas in AAA. He started in GRE this season and probably should still be there!
  17. @SoxProspects Good work today by 17-year-old RHP Dalvinson Reyes for the DSL Red Sox Blue squad today- 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K. Signed for $450,000 back in January, the 6'5' Dominican's fastball sits around 90 mph and tops out at 93. Has already seen his velocity start to tick up and should see further increases as he matures.
  18. When Hendriks first came back last season, he was awful. O'Neilll is never healthy. Not sure how much MORE you'd expect out of Abreu.
  19. Is a DH better or worse with a bum knee?
  20. The last time the Phillies won the series was 2008.
  21. "Hey sport, I'm paying you a bunch of money for the next decade no matter what. Go out and destroy that knee in a meaningless game for me!"
  22. They basically called it in '22 and '23 and ended with 78 wins. Why not do it again?
  23. Yorke spent almost 700 PA's in AA. It was time. He's Rule 5 eligible this offseason. It was time. Mayer is the better player and had been performing better. They don't hand out promotions based on who has played the best.
  24. The tough part with Duran is that there's just so many names on the ballot that he'll get lost in the shuffle.
  25. You think players know OPS or fWAR more? I think it's probably OPS.
