    I'm optimistic about the future. I don't see Rafaela at 2b though. That would be a pretty big waste of his talents.

    It took a while, but Arias is finally starting to hit outside of the FCL. Montgomery hasn't taken a professional AB yet so we will need to see that first. There was a lot of hype over Zanetello and now he's the 30th ranked propect and falling.

    Crawford gets bit by the longball as expected. Bernardino acts like a pig as expected. I think I'd be happy with him being elsewhere next year.

    The problem is that Christopher Smith assumed that he was waiting an hour for Devers to speak to the media. He didn't communicate with anyone about it. Smith was just sitting there getting more and more annoyed and then was probably more upset when he got home and was too tired to help with his young kids in the morning the next day (obviously I'm reading into it a little and making assumptions based on what I now about him). Just poor communication on Smith's part IMO. Devers has never been that guy so I don't know why he needs to be all of a sudden.

    He's a better 2B than Valdez, but worse than everyone else we could put there.

    Mayer is hitting the same as Campbell?

    His hit tool is a throwback to a mid 80's astroturf team like the Astros or Cardinals. The only problem is those players could run a little bit and field a little bit too. Masa is just too limited as he's one of the slowest guys in the league and one of the worst defenders. He'll have hot stretches, but they don't ever last long enough to bring up his value for the whole season. Without decent pop to go with the OBP, there just isn't enough ceiling for him to stick as DH for a legitimate team. This is similar to the issue with guys like Meidroth and Riemer. Only difference there is that those guys aren't DH only and they won't have huge price tags like Masa.

    With Garver, he's typically unhealthy, unproductive or both.

    Campbell is their 2nd best prospect. Pass.

    Maybe? It's hard to say as he's only playing OF about a quarter of the time. He's only had 2 OF starts in AAA, which is even less than he was playing before.

    Fitts is a back of the rotation guy, but he has a skill that other back of the rotation Sox starters don't have: he can throw a lot of innings

    Abreu/Yoshida sitting against the LHP Casas probably should be in, but maybe they are going to start taking it easy on him down the stretch. No real split concerns with him.

    18M, 4.73 FIP, 1.475 WHIP, 769 OPSa, 1.2 bWAR I wouldn't say flop, but it's slightly disappointing. It's his highest OPS in a season with over 60 innings pitched.

    That's wild since Roman is going to be the #1 MiLB prospect in the next few days. Campbell is really great and I'm here for the rocket that has been strapped to him.

    Flaherty throws a straight 4 seamer a lot of the time and it was really bad the last 2 seasons. That's probably a big reason Breslow wasn't in on him last offseason.

    He's never been that guy before. Why would it change now? It's just bad expectations IMO. They can be mad, but they spent 300M on a guy that hasn't been known to talk to the media and/or isn't good at it. Unless they are going to work on it with him, being passive aggressive is only going to make the situation untenable. Another swing and miss by ownership if this is the direction they are going. Blame every but themselves and don't put people in the best position to succeed.

    Who said that Devers was going to talk to the media? How often does Devers even talk to the media? I don't think I even remember any memorable quotes from him. It just seems like such a made up scenario to be mad about. Devers is hurt and struggling and they just had a tough loss in a bad series. What were they expecting out of an interview?
