  1. In a perfect world, an OF of Anthony, Duran, Rafaela and Abreu would have 2 RHB and 2 LHB. Being overloaded at LHB hurts that rotation a little. This is a little similar to what happened in St Louis and them moving O'Neilll. Either one of these guys will fall back into non-starter production, the Sox will figure out a rotation for all 4 or one of them will be traded. I think Breslow ends up trading a few guys this offseason to clear up spots for the big 3 and others.
  2. Must be some sort of Vaughn Grissom LOVER...
  3. You consider Grissom to be a vital part of the regular lineup now? Opening Day: Duran Devers Story Casas O'Neilll Masa Rafaela Valdez Wong
  4. He wanted them to play two.
  5. Worcester North 2015: 78-84 Worcester North 2023: 78-84 Those two teams were basically running the same types of players out there and were about .500 for most of the season.
  6. Oh yeah. That's in large part why they were flipped from High A to A a few seasons ago. Greenville is a much nicer facility. Salem is death for hitters and a bad facility overall from what I've heard. Unfortunately, Sox sold the Salem Red Sox this offseason to Diamond Baseball Holdings. I'm not sure if they have control to move the team now or put pressure on them to make the facilities nicer.
  7. Yorke - AAA Blaze - AA Wu Yellend - A+ Drohan - AAA inactive
  8. This has been said for a few years now. He doesn't have the arm for SS. Sox wanted him to play a little more OF to turn him to a UTIL guy possibly.
  9. WOBA 358 xWOBA 301 BABIP 379 BABIP MiLB 306 Enjoy the highs. Expect regression.
  10. Abreu is a 131 wRC+ hitter with 2.7 bWAR in 81 games. Jays would control him through 2029. You are really understating his value.
  11. Hamilton is a bench guy.
  12. Grissom is expendable. He needs to produce before he's really earned a spot.
  13. Move to LF and you have Duran, Rafaela, Abreu and Anthony with two of them on the bench.
  14. This just means this division is worse, not that all of baseball is worse.
  15. Drohan cleared waivers and is back with Red Sox.
  16. That’s Salem.
  17. Assuming Story is healthy, you'd have Story, Mayer, Bichette, Casas and Devers for 4 IF spots. That's probably the bigger issue at play.
  18. Jhostynxon has 5 HR's in 11 G's since being called up to GRE. He's been tearing the cover off the ball all season long.
  19. Yes. Sox would trade Hamilton for Bichette. Jays would say no almost 100% of the time unless they know something we don't. Abreu and Bichette are closer to a fair swap, but what each player brings to the respective teams may not work for the trade itself.
  20. Fan voting has not been around every season. All-Star teams were originally selected by the managers and the fans for the 1933 and 1934 games. From 1935 through 1946, managers selected the entire team for each league. From 1947 to 1957, fans chose the team's starters and the manager chose the pitchers and the remaining players. From 1958 through 1969, managers, players, and coaches made the All-Star Team selections. In 1970, the vote again returned to the fans for the selection of the starters for each team and remains there today.
  21. Not sure I would do the deal, but would consider it. The Jays would consider it too.
  22. Bogey was an overpay. Schwarber was an overpay (minor).
  23. Throw in Wikleman and a bunch of other prospects I don't believe in.
  24. It's not the first time Bichette has had an extended slump. For 1.5 years, I'd take the risk.
