  1. Is his stuff back? He wasn't very good in the regular season. His spin rates seem to be down from what they used to be.
  2. 75th percentile extension
  3. Debuted in 2021. Led the league in walks in 2024 and won the ROY somehow.
  4. He's in his 2nd ARB year by now? 😎
  5. It'd be much better if Breslow was just tearing him down in the media.
  6. For starter fWAR since 2016, he's behind: Paxton, Taillon, Syndergaard, Marquez, Gibson, Carrasco, Rodon, Corbin, Bauer, Lynn, Hendricks, Quintana and others I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on either.
  7. I'm allowed to just not like a player. Years above 2 bWAR 2016 2018 2021 2024 More often than not, he's been a mediocre to bad pitcher even when pitching in a great pitcher's park like OAK.
  8. He doesn't like it though.
  9. As I've said, Red Sox fans can be idiots. Eovaldi 2018 Regular Season with Red Sox: 12 G, 54 IP, 3.33 ERA, 2.88 FIP Postseason 6 G, 22 IP, 1.61 ERA, 2.71 FIP He was very good the second he put the jersey on.
  10. I saw Rikishi and his family walk into LA Food Show back when I lived out there. This was before his kids signed with WWE and arguably became more famous.
  11. Is he wrestling in the Garden or pitching?
  12. Yes, I was young. That's why I most certainly rely on other sources. When those other sources tell me he wasn't a complete dog in the field, I'm going to assume he wasn't a net negative the way you did. 🤷‍♀️
  13. This wasn't a move based on being cheap. It was to acquire a pitcher with the highest ceiling who was realistically available. Crochet has the potential be better than any other pitcher moved this offseason. It also may be a trade that just blows up in their face.
  14. That's what we do best here.
  15. That just reminds me of TOOL.
  16. He's always been a guy who hits well in short spurts and then disappears.
  17. Realistically, I have no clue what their plan is. Buehler, acquire a catcher and more relievers and I'm fine with it. I'm ok if they don't fix the handedness of the hitters.
  18. He's just not great and the Sox could get better at that position without having to spend a lot of money. To me, I'd value a defensive first guy that could help the pitching staff rather than an offensive first guy like Wong.
  19. Do you have a better defensive source than Baseball Reference? Maybe your EYE TEST, notin? Please remind me what his defense looked like early on in 1985. Were you in elementary school at that time?
  20. I agree. Just dump Yoshida and eat his whole contract. It's just money.
  21. Also, this is rich coming from a poster that thought Kelenic was better than Duran.
  22. Wow, one trade worked out in favor of the Sox. Therefore, Red Sox prospects are routinely overhyped. Swihart, Chavis and Dalbec were not overhyped as prospects. Of those three, the only one that had any trade value at any moment in time was Swihart. C'mon man! Michael Chavis was overhyped? By who? Dalbec? Laughable...
  23. I would have gone with Crochet Soiree or Crochet Field Day myself.
  24. The flea market pickups below Buehler aren't better than what we already have. I guess they find AAA depth? IDK.
