  1. No harm in him going to AAA until June and absolutely raking.
  2. Thoughts based on the jersey is that it's someone mid 2000's. Kevin Cash? Not quite the right build. Tek? He seemed to hold the bat on his follow through and had the high socks. The veins are making me think Gabe Kapler, but I feel like he and Mirabelli often went without batting gloves. Loretta had that Hriniak swing. Ok, my guess is Bill Mueller.
  3. It's obviously someone much newer than that considering the length of the pants. Dewey wore the classic stirrups throughout his career I believe. Don't think he wore a shin guard either.
  4. 29 H, 5 BB, 13 IP Not getting any swing and miss this spring.
  5. He’s had a really bad spring overall.
  6. At what point do we get concerned about Houck?
  7. I’d move him to 2b the second Mayer is promoted TBH.
  8. There was a Pirates blog yesterday about the team losing money last year and my accounting brain wanted to yuck their yum because of some of the nonsense in the blog. Better off to not get in the weeds sometimes. Good article here though. Bell loves PV.
  9. 17 k’s for the Sox offense tonight.
  10. DHam stealing 2b and 3b on back to back pitches and tagging home on the following pitch.
  11. I don’t see him starting game 1 at 2b. It could happen at some point though.
  12. Newcomb looks more than capable to be the 5th starter.
  13. Already in an org that has projected bullpen issues and could get called up in a few weeks VS heading home and waiting for a call that may not come (Moore sucked last season, Ottavino is at the end of his career).
  14. If they stick around, it'll be in AAA.
  15. Story 4 WAR season in '25. Bregman and Story opt out this offseason.
  16. It was only for ONE YEAR of Mookie Betts, so let me tell you why the deal worked out in favor of the Red Sox...
  17. That's a function of him being his own agent.
  18. Mr No Numbers Alex Verdugo. Sox should offer him a MiLB deal.
  19. He's a contact hitter that was supposed to develop some pop. He had a 920 OPS in AAA in '23. It just fell apart last year. He wouldn't be the first prospect to fall off the map.
  20. It's not the greatest spring for sure, but "such a tough" is really weird. I mean, Priester wasn't really lighting the world on fire last summer in AAA. I don't know what the expectations were for some people. I think maybe the Sox got a little to excited about Priester's stuff getting better this offseason. There were gains, but nothing like what we saw from Fitts. FWIW, Nick Yorke has a 575 OPS this spring.
