  1. Almost every reliever is going to have a blowup here and there. Unfortunately, they had to do it in back to back games when we were hoping the Sox could get on a roll. The only guy who has been really consistent is Chapman who everyone assumed would have given up the closer spot by now.
  2. That doesn't sound fun. If I had to buy a jersey today, it'd be Campbell (he'll be here for a while and he's great to watch).
  3. He was really rough all of last season and I haven't watched him at all this year. Have seen his boxscores though.
  4. I think their thinking on Castro is that he's still only going to turn 22 this season and did OPS 800+ in GRE. Maybe he's able to do the same as he climbs the ladder? He did tap into more power last season. I don't hold out a lot of hope, but his scouting report is "above average raw power." Bleis has already dropped in most rankings to the teens. He has really struggled (production and health) ever since the start of '23. I think they clearly hyped him a little too much. I think Cespedes probably needs to be around where SP ranks Bleis mainly because he doesn't have a true defensive home. He'll have time to mature offensively, but I don't think he's ever going to get to even average defensively at any position. I was hoping that Blaze would get to AAA at some point and have a few years in WOO for fans to cheer him on before he goes elsewhere for a cup of coffee. We might not get that.
  5. He has a positive OAA and DRS too... 😤
  6. Bleis was hittig 574 on 4/23 and then had a 4 game hit streak that brought him up to 829 (7H, 2 2B, 2 HR, .750 BABIP, 7 K's, 2 BB's) How about: Blaze Jordan 644 OPS (3rd year in POR) Natanael Yuten 577 OPS (repeating SAL) Yoeilin Cespedes 563 Thompson 689 (how can we leave him off Opening Day Roster?!?!?!) Pitchers: Zack Kelly 1202 (AAA) Sikes 1030 (3 appearances as a pitcher? Is he two way now?)
  7. He hasn't given up more than 2 in a game so far. 5 of his 6 HRs have been to LHB. TOR is very RHB heavy. There's a chance Houck has a good game tonight.
  8. Devers's current 119 wRC+ would have been 9th best DH wRC+ in 2024.
  9. They need to trade him just because a lot of people on here struggle spelling his name correctly.
  10. Maybe Geddy Lee will be at the game tonight so the Sox will play a little harder.
  11. Antonio Anderson at 15? Wow!
  12. If I had a magic wand and could get everyone baseball ready for it, that's what I'd go with. Story was so great at 2b in '22. Not sure why they are set on keeping him at SS.
  13. Story seems like a waste at 1b, but what do I know. I think Breggie opts out. I think Story stays. Sox would much prefer it was the opposite. Considering Muncy and Ramirez's defensive woes this year, maybe Devers going back to 3b wouldn't be the end of the world?
  14. If Houck pitches the next 45 innings and doesn't give up a run, he'll get his ERA down to 3.00.
  15. Roman Anthony Best prospect in all of baseballKristian Campbell Best prospect in MLBMarcelo Mayer Started off slow, but has been on a hot streak lately. Needs another 2 months until I'd unleash him on MLB. Franklin Arias Struggled last year in Low A. Not struggling this year. Mikey Romero Probably 2B profile with power. Will be an MLB player somewhere. Luis Perales If he comes back healthy, he has some of the best stuff we've seen in this system.Richard Fitts Starter's frame, plus MLB production and proximity to helping 26 man pushes him up my rankingsHunter Dobbins Proximity to helping 26 man and how he handled brief MLB stints pushes him up my rankingsJuan Valera Best stuff in the system currently, but far away.Connelly Early Pitcher that does a lot of things well and should keep climbing the ladder after adding velo. Will be an MLB starter somewhere.Jhostynxon Garcia Another guy who just keeps producing as he moves up the system. Will be in WOO this year. David Sandlin Nasty stuff, but seems reliever-ish to me due to command profile. Yoeilin Cespedes Doesn't have a good defensive home. Missed a lot of time last year. Yophery Rodriguez Athletic OFer who will get to AA this year. Not an ideal swing for Fenway.Justin Gonzales Will appear in FCL when that season starts late Spring early Summer.Jedixson Paez Lots of concerns about this guy's lack of velo, but he just keeps going out there and pitching well. Throws a lot of strikes so he should keep moving up the system.Brandon Clarke Generated a lot of buzz in ST. He's dominated Low A so far. Probably should head to High A with other college arms. Carlos Narvaez Defensive first profile, but has the ability to split time 50/50 in MLB. Great framing and blocking.Payton Tolle Starter's frame. Sox love his FB. Needs to work on his secondary stuff. Dorian Soto 1.4M IFA this year. All around athletic player currently signed for SS. Advanced raw power for his age. Switch hitter. The skill set that will have him pop up rankings this year and next.
  16. Starting Pitchers today: Drohan Mullins Valera Adams Aita That's a good group of starters to follow this afternoon/tonight.
  17. Can't let a good Gio start go to waste. Don't know how many you'll get. Houck needs to come up big today.
  18. Far less likely he opts out. If he does, Sox would be happy about it.
