    They were on pace to be the worst team since the 30's and had the worst offense in the league. It was fair to be skeptical.

    Because talking about the WC spot with 90 games left to go is inherently silly especially when there are now 3 WC spots.

    Another problem is that the Sox sent out a bunch of different conflicting explanations when they should have just STFU about it.

    We know the Red Sox made a mistake because they tried to rehab it and the problem got worse! They had him do dry swings and he aggravated his injury even more and felt more pain.

    They will need a SP because of IP limits and a RH LF/DH (Jahmai Jones replacement). I think people expecting a RH SS are asking for too much with Story coming back. On the block: Early, Mayer, Valera, Rule 5 Guys (Bleis/Brannon/Johanfran/,Mullins/Romero/Wehunt), every prospect not named Arias/Eyanson/Primera I don't see them dealing Duran or Masa right now TBH.

    Baz is 4-1 lifetime vs the Sox and has held them to a 512 OPS. Back in June: 7 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K FanGraphs has it scored as his best start of the season.

    I've been saying it since day 1 of the injury. They tried rehabbing and it hasn't worked. Would have been quicker to just get surgery like other players have done.

    If Anthony was here, maybe they'd consider it. Right now? Better off just using him as a defensive replacement, speed guy off the bench.

    Paid out over 2 more seasons and for a player that is actually capable of being an everyday player. Doesn't feel like eating money in the classic sense, just a one for one change of scenery swap.
