  1. I don't think they should add Adell. Parades? Maybe. If they get into the playoffs? Fine. I just wouldn't sell just to get some quick fix solely for THIS year. I don't see the point. That sounds more like saving the CBO's job than doing what is right for the org. Crochet - out Anthony - out Two of the biggest contributors to your team aren't projected to be here for a while. It just doesn't seem to be the year to be cashing in chips. I also see more folly in scratching and clawing for a 6th place finish just to get stomped in the playoffs. Let's wait until the Sox actually field a competitive team. This isn't one of them. This team isn't even '22 or '23 that people on here tried to sell me on prior to the deadline!
  2. 3.5 games out from last place in the AL too FWIW. Somehow, the AL is going to get a team below .500 into the playoffs. Even though this team should be better, what would be the point in trying to drag THIS team to the playoffs. It's clear that this team doesn't have the juice.
  3. Durbin is a classic case of "don't teach everyone to hit the same way." Not every guy should be forced to pull every ball in the air. There is not a one size fits all approach to hitting or pitching.
  4. There is some drama surrounding Durbin and him using Gradum. Gradum is trying to take credit for his turnaround. Durbin has said that he's put in a lot of effort with the Sox staff and was just using Gradum on the side and only saw them for a few days as an extra set of eyes. More credit has to go to Durbin than to Gradum TBH. Narvaez uses Gradum and he's been basically benched. Tracey stated that Durbin was previously just driving everything into the ground rather than getting it over the IF. Now he's getting the 2b's we expected. From the first time he went to Gradum to now: 882 OPS
  5. They already have 3 C's on the roster. Why not make clogs all over the place? I'm not in on acquiring any expiring contracts.
  6. Keeping Winnay at 3b so that they can play Antonio Anderson at 1b for some reason.
  7. They got Canseco after he donked a HR off his head. Time to bring Adell in too.
  8. I could see Paredes getting moved, but HOU would still leave Cam Smith in the OF where he's playing tremendous defense. Chapman's bat is in serious decline. He's hit well for SF before so we can't blame it on the location. It's the age. I don't see the point in the addition. I'm not sure Bo is a good fit for Fenway, but he wouldn't be here long term. What's the point in bringing a guy here if he's just going to opt out? Feels like this season is kind of a lost season anyway. Semien has a very pull happy swing that could work here. Sox would definitely be getting a guy close to retirement rather than prime Semien. Even his defense has fallen off this season. If his defense was still at least average, I'd give it a shot. He's going to fall off a cliff quickly. A guy that could have had some really big seasons if he played here earlier in is career.
  9. Rusney couldn't get added to the MLB roster because of his contract. KC will most likely be added to the MLB roster because of his contract.
  10. Back to back days of ABS challenge practices.
  11. That's the only point we're trying to make. They chose the wrong guy to deal, unless the ChiSox were adamant about Teel, though they already had a highly ranked C at the time (Quero).
  12. Take their k% and subtract their bb%. Mayer is 11.3. Meidroth is 12.3. I just used the sources you listed.
  13. Having them trade the MiLB Player of the Year instead of a guy ranked in the teens for the org is kinda crazy don't you think? Swapping those two doesn't make sense. If you want to move KC, get more value than a return of a guy well outside the top 100.
  14. He sees 4.09 pitches per plate appearance. The only '26 Red Sox to see more are Anthony, Monasterio and Narvaez. 10 of 15 Red Sox hitters see a below league average amount of pitchers per plate appearance.
  15. Sure, if they were DH's who got pinch ran for every time they reached the base, maybe that'd be something?
  16. Thanks @Nick John Seigler is an interesting player. He's ambidextrous and can play all 9 positions. Not sure how well his bat will translate to MLB, but seems like a chill dude. Campbell increasing his FB rate this season is definitely a good thing. The under the hood stuff looks a lot better than it did last season.
  17. Trading Meidroth brought them Crochet. That's part of the calculation here.
