    Sandoval just threw 90 pitches the other day. No chance was he or Paez getting added. Wasn't a surprise that Burgos wasn't added either. He's still a bubble bulk guy. Good story, but the Sox are in trouble if he's on a playoff roster. The decision probably came down to two of: Crochet, Olds and Ward. Ward was the odd man out. For some reason, they hate Romy now.

    Hasn't really faced hitters recently. Have no idea what he has right now. I'd take Bello and Bennett over him. If it's between Crochet and bb heavy Olds, maybe I go with Crochet? Maybe? Putting Crochet on the roster forces NYY to plan for him, but I don't know if it makes that much of a difference unless he's healthy and I'm not sold on him being healthy. I believe he probably needed surgery.

    Guerrero won't be able to pitch until the ALCS at the earliest so it's likely we don't see him until ST. Bello's fastball has never been great. It's just a show me pitch to play off the rest of his stuff. He's better off still throwing it though and I think he'll be fine coming out in relief if he has to. However, I think Bennett could be better in a short stint at Yankee Stadium 3 than Bello.

    '26: 23rd in R, 26th in HR '25: 7th in R, 15th in HR I agree. This team feels a lot like MIL. Probably not going to make a lot of noise in the playoffs aside from beating the Yankees.

    Pablo Sandoval got fat and stopped being a productive MLBer in Boston. A younger Pablo may have done just fine. Paredes is more Adam Duvall than Pablo Sandoval though.

    @Alex Mayes Gotta disagree that Breslow is a Honda. He's "quirky," likely not a long term option and think he could be better put in a limited capacity with guardrails. People also have very strong opinions about him one way or another. I don't think anyone has had a strong opinion about a Honda in their life. Also, the majority of Hondas are far from quirky. It's clear to me that Breslow is a Jeep Wrangler.

    He won't win. He's been injured and hasn't played. There has been no reason to increase his pay. They'd stick with the 1.7. That's what I've seen with other injured players anyway.

    He'll probably just be streaky with it the way he was in '25. Maybe peaks at 25 HR. He has 40 HR power, but I don't think he gets there.
