  1. '25 Sox - 4 games up on TEX '11 Sox - 5.5 games up on TBR Sox just need to keep doing their thing and go 9-6 or 8-7. 95% chance of playoffs per FanGraphs. TEX next 6: NYM/HOU
  2. A couple of years before my time. The managers of my childhood didn't leave me with warm and fuzzy feelings. I'd have Joe Morgan ranked towards the top somewhere.
  3. They should have sent Duran on the flyball in the 1st. It would have been a risky play, but I think Duran's speed forces a quick, inaccurate throw. I think IFers are typically more accurate when fielding and throwing the ball home than OF plays at the plate.
  4. At this point, it's only a few appearances. Not sure it's a big deal. Maybe trying to hide him from evaluators and models? IDK.
  5. I guess I was the lone person who thought he could get one? Anyone else? I thought it was probably 50/50.
  6. Campbell is a terrible SS. He has no range and a poor arm for the left side of the IF. If he was going to be an MLB caliber SS, Georgia Tech wouldn't have pushed him to 2b IN HIS AGE 21 SEASON. David Hamilton played SS for Texas at age 19 and 20 and nobody on here wants him anywhere near SS for the BoSox. Being good at SS in HS means nothing. If he wasn't good enough to play SS at Georgia Tech, he shouldn't be good enough to play in Boston.
  7. I was just listing all the guys that hadn't been added to the 40 man yet that the Sox need to make a decision on (could be added, dealt or potentially picked).
  8. C'mon Jarren. That's barely a top 10 highlight these days... 🤬
  9. I think part of the Rule 5 crunch will be offseason deals of some of these young guys. Bleis Castro Hoppe Mullins Paez Sandlin Uberstine The likelihood of some of these guys to be picked is pretty low, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them get dealt. Players the Sox have lost in previous drafts: 2024 - Angel Bastardo 2023 - Shane Drohan (returned), Ryan Fernandez 2022 - Thaddeus Ward, Andrew Politi (returned), Noah Song (returned) Strong orgs get players taken. Sox will probably have another pitcher selected this year.
  10. Mullins's career notes from SP: Has battled injuries throughout his career. Was highly regarded out of high school, ranked as high as the top 50 in the 2019 draft class at times, but opted to attend Auburn after an injury-plagued senior spring caused his stock to fall. His sophomore and junior college seasons both ended prematurely due to injury, the latter resulting in Tommy John surgery. Did not make his professional debut until August 2023 after rehabbing from the procedure. Missed much of May 2025 with shoulder fatigue after an early-season promotion to Portland. This section is not usually just a download of injuries and reasoning as to why a guy has missed extended time.
  11. Mullins started this year in GRE and carries significant injury risk. I think they are intentionally going slow with him.
  12. I think when a tiny portion of us mentioned that Pivetta could get a QO, it was because he would either refuse and Sox would get compensation OR the worst is the Sox get a dependable back end guy for one more year. Most posters disagreed that the Sox would even consider giving him a QO. Ultimately, he signed for 4/55 which seems like a great deal to me. I wish the Sox did that instead of Buehler.
  13. That's not really what he said. What he said was that other teams were looking to trade for bats (Sox don't really have any in the org that are close to being ready) and that they value their pitchers more highly than outside evaluators. With what we've seen from Tolle and Early, maybe they should hold onto these young arms?
  14. Roberts wasn't the only acquisition that deadline... Going into the playoffs, he wasn't even listed in top 2 of importance.
  15. Are you really giving Breslow credit for obtaining Lowe off the waiver wire?
  16. That's not MY opinion. I think they just needed better 4/5 options. I didn't think they should have wasted their time trying to go for Ryan at all.
  17. In 290 Innings, Roman has put up 8 DRS/4 OAA in RF. I think he could capably take over for Abreu. If they moved on from Abreu instead of Duran, I don't think there's a big slippage in defense.
  18. He was really bad last season until the final 10 IP. I don't think everyone was sold on him.
