  1. I'd be surprised if they sent down Campbell at this point. Hamilton has been one of the worst players in MLB this year and has options.
  2. I only wish they were able to trade him to the Padres as that would have been kinda fun for him and Xander. The Giants? Yuck!
  3. I think it will be tougher this season. I think it doesn't change the outlook for 2026 and on. The biggest concern is getting starting pitching on track. Having an ace goes a long way.
  4. It seemed like there were a lot more fans than usual that bought into the Raffy is a "lollygagger" and "he stole my sweetroll" and whatever else the media was putting out there once that first press conference went off the rails. Maybe I'm just too even keeled for my own good! 😎
  5. I'm sorry Kimmi, but you're just making this up. I know you're upset he left, but there was no clubhouse drama between Devers and his teammates.
  6. Did you expect him to be Bugs Bunny out there playing all 9 positions? Sox since 2019:
  7. His teammates aren't hurt at all. None of his teammates have complained. The fans turned their backs on him while he was here! They complained about his paycheck, his weight, that he used an interpreter! Why should he care about their feelings?
  8. Gotta save money somehow when you've spent $40M on Masa/Story and have 0.2 fWAR to show for it so far.
  9. I want to have faith that they will spend it wisely, but we just haven't really had that history with this org. It's fair to ignore the bad Bloom signings. Under Breslow: Bregman - GREAT' Sandoval - TBD Buehler - 25M should have been better spent TBH Chapman - GREAT Wilson - Good Bello extension - Fine? Rafaela extension - No bueno IMO Giolito - 50M should have been better spent TBH So maybe they'll spend the money wisely? Hard to really say for sure.
  10. It's the same thing for us as JH wasn't going to ever match the Dodgers as the Sox stick to their "valuation" on players and won't go over it. That's why they've struggled to bring in top FA since DD left.
  11. Maybe you just wouldn't use word choice like that and actually take the time to have some empathy when talking to the guy?
  12. 300M for Devers at DH makes no sense. Soto for 700M? Vlad Jr for 500M?
  13. Trading Devers can be spun. Signing Bauer is much harder to do.
  14. Sounds exhausting. I can barely deal with this one sometimes.
  15. BMI doesn't work for professional athletes. BMI would categorize every NFL running back as obese.
  16. Last 7 games: 2.4 runs/game (tied lowest) 0.1 fWAR (team hitting) 70 wRC+ 28.9% K (2nd highest) 629 OPS (24th) 12.5% LD (lowest) 37.9% Pull (25th) 41 H (lowest) 194 AVG (29th) 7 GDP (7th) Campbell, Anthony and Mayer are all going to have ups and downs. Fans can't really count on them this season. Duran was supposed to have his breakout in June (739 OPS), but it hasn't happened. Narvaez has been good, but I don't know if you can count on a rookie catcher to have an 800 OPS for the whole season, especially one that wasn't known to be an offensive first guy. Toro is most likely on borrowed time. Romy should be platoon only. Hamilton should be DFA'd. Rafaela has fallen back to earth since the LAA series (536 OPS in 11 games) which was to be expected. Wilyer was on a downward trajectory before he hit the IL (456 OPS since 5/14).
  17. He's NOT obese. Not even borderline. You guys are ridiculous.
  18. Again: buying or selling, but the options are #1 thumbs down and #2 thumbs up. Thumbs down is clearly buying as you're unloading your current players to add to your team because you don't believe in the current team, right? Thumbs up is clearly selling as you're possibly getting rid of some contracts and putting some more cheddar back into Henry's wallet, right?
  19. "Oh, so what do you do?" "I'm an accountant." "Can you do my taxes?" "Hell no!" "I guess you're not a REAL accountant then!"
