    Rogers has zero options. He's DFA'd when Adley is ready. Wong/White/Jones/Sogard (Mona/Seigler starting) IDK. Maybe Jones is DFA'd and the Sox believe nobody will claim him post deadline?

    671 OPS since May 1. 673 OPS 2025. 709 OPS 2024. For 1.5 years and the current injury streak, it's an overpay. He needs to stay healthy and perform at a high level to be worth it. I like the guy, but he needs to turn it around a little bit if the trade is going to be worth it.

    What does his prospect status have to do with anything at this point? He's been in the league for years. He was the best all around catcher prior to his injuries. Now? Hard to bet on it if he can't stay on the field. '25 left oblique - misses a month right oblique - misses a month '26 ankle - 10 day concussion - 7 day left wrist - 3-4 weeks?

    There is nothing that changed with his attitude or on the field output from '25 to '26. He's the same guy. It just seems like they were willing to ignore everything in the offseason when a very good player could have been had. IDK. Seems like a missed opportunity.

    Didn't want to put him in a trade for Marte last offseason. LH reliever at the deadline? Ok! I know there were work ethic complaints and his bat wasn't ready, but man...

    I think it means they are going to DFA Eaton once Story comes off the IL.

    The general opinion around the league is that it's a large overpay, that the deal should have been done for one less prospect probably. This deal is probably a bigger deal than what they paid for Crochet. For only 1.5 years for an injured Adley is A LOT. Maybe it works out? He's been very injured the past two seasons. Maybe that's just bad luck? Maybe it is a sign of where his career is headed?

    The one thing Adley has proven lately is that he has been injured. If he can get over that, the trade can be worthwhile. If he continues to hang out in the trainer's room over the next 1.5 years, it's not worth it. With this trade, the Sox are paying a premium for a name. He's a good clubhouse guy. Great to have in your org. Someone you'd put a C on the jersey. He just needs to stay healthy and he hasn't recently.

    It's a move that is confusing to us, but these guys see Uberstine every day. My guess is they were closer to DFA'ing Uberstine than using him in BOS. His prospect savant page still looks decent. White is fast and has a strong arm. I'm guessing he's a late inning defensive replacement and platoon bat.

    Traded for a reliever. Ouch. No matter how good Miller is, that’s a steep drop in valuation from the Sox in about 6 months.

    Hicks is a LHB pull hitter and weak defender. Is that the profile you were looking for? I'd take Adley over him at Fenway 1,000,000%.

    Rival executives also HATED the Masa deal. That one worked out pretty great by all accounts. No issues there!

    There were some off the field issues with Narvaez this season. He was benched earlier in the year too.

    Just seems steep for only 1.5 years AND currently on the IL.
