Theo: Pedey, Papi, Bogaerts, Vazquez, Buchholz, Jackie Bradley Jr, Mookie Betts, Travis Shaw... That's 30% of the roster right there and more than that for just production...
If we had pitching prospects in the pipeline, I don't think we'd be as concerned. Espinoza is a few years away and ERod is in the midst of a lost year.
I just don't ever understand this reasoning. You either like having Buchholz as a part of the rotation and think he can succeed or you don't pick him up.
The All Star game is purely about name recognition. Not sure Bradley has better recognition than Betts at this point. He's still a #9 hitter and a guy who has been productive for less than 12 months at this point.
You mortgage the future if you set yourself up for a good 4-5 year run. Doing it for a 1 year shot doesn't make sense to me. Plus, we have 3 recent championship banners. I don't see the urgency here.
I have seen him go more to RF this season and have been very pleased with it so far. To me, he's still a few hr's away from thinking he needs to go La Luna every game.
If he keeps up the good work, I may have to revise the Three Point Plan.
I agree, especially about the "to a certain point." When a poster has brought absolutely nothing that contributes to any discussion and continues to post nonsense like "Allen Craig is the player of the month," it probably reaches that certain point sooner than later.
