  1. The only team with more wins than the Red Sox is the Cubs. They are playing every club well.
  2. That's what happens when you pick up Clay's option.
  3. http://www.fangraphs.com/coolstandings.aspx Fangraphs has projected the chance of the Sox winning the division at 71%. They also have an expected win total of 92. Sox and Cubs have the two highest WS %'s. Still a tabloid though...
  4. For those that don't live/work in RI, the government is really corrupt and horrible. There have been a few recent arrests of legislators, but it barely passes as news anymore because of how much money is wasted annually.
  5. This has as much to do with the incompetent and corrupt RI government as it does with Schill. I don't like Schill, but he gets too much of the blame pie for this. It's at least 50/50 in who was at fault for the tax burden. Curt gets 100% of the blame for all of the employee issues that happened.
  6. I'm on the hype train, but can we at least let him play in AA before determining if he's ready for MLB?
  7. A win is a win is a win is a win.
  8. I like Ross and Layne. They were two of the better guys last year.
  9. Odor punching Bautista is the greatest thing ever.
  10. "Betts’ numbers don’t lie: he’s a .449 career hitter when pulls it in play, per Baseball-Reference.com, with 20 home runs to left and seven up the middle. He’s never homered to the opposite field." http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/red_sox/clubhouse_insider/2016/05/forget_homering_mookie_betts_glad_to_just_pull_ball
  11. Uh, his prior year numbers were extraordinarily pull heavy I thought?
  12. Schilling in game 6 is the most overrated performance of all time imo.
  13. 2 QS, 1 ok start, 1 horrible start.
  14. The record proves it!
  15. I maintain that fans lecturing other fans is embarrassing. Plus, the whole "old fans remember" gag is just dumb. Someone as young as Thunder could be as well versed as some of the grandpas on here. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't make them wrong.
  16. Schill's impact is supremely overstated. He was also a nobody by 2007.
  17. Did they play hard for him in 14 or 15?
  18. He wasn't traded to the Red Sox.
  19. Schill? For that argument: Pedey >>> Schill
  20. DFA Mookie
  21. I'll agree to that, but we'll never know if it was DD's call. To me, I just liked how the team was run with Lovullo in charge. I don't think Farrell has sound judgment at times.
  22. @peteabe Career XBH 12. Yastrzemski 1,157 13. Cobb 1,136 14. Ortiz 1,132 Career RBIs 26. Ripken 1,695 27. Sheffield 1,676 28. Ortiz 1,674
  23. Farrell gets credit for the wins, but not the losses? Farrell looked s***** in the first few innings of this game then. Why did Farrell bunt in the 9th? Dumbest call all year.
  24. Did Farrell hit that triple in the ninth or the walk off double? No? You can't prove my point wrong either.
