  1. Know when to walk away. Know when to run.
  2. Some could say he was desperate to hold onto them.
  3. Sandoval + Hernandez + Holt + Marrerro = 4 Hail Mary's Devers = 1 Hallelujah
  4. If Marco does well, it vindicates me that Pedroia should have been traded by now.
  5. Papi should be calling this guy every damn day.
  6. I disagree with your disagreement. His WAR totals are generally due to his long career. He hit well in a time period where almost everyone hit well. OVERRATED.
  7. I'm not sure they seriously considered Marrero. I think they hoped they could catch lightning in a bottle with Sandoval coming back in shape and moving him at the deadline. At that point, they could have traded for a 3b or brought up Devers.
  8. Something tells me the current run of SCM33 posts will be as short as the last few have. He'll get bored sooner rather than later.
  9. Just remember, if Jeter trades Stanton to the NYY, thunder is no longer allowed to make gamethreads due to his Jeter fanhood.
  10. That's not a direct quote tho? The actual quote has never been presented from what I've seen. And saying "no plans" is super duper innocuous if that's what he said.
  11. This is what he said on Oct 11th: "Then we'll have to decide what's going to take place at that point,” Dombrowski said. “We want to make sure that most importantly his knee is as good as it can be going forward. I don't know what that's going to [entail] at this point until he sees the doctors and gets those recommendations." Other medical situations seemingly could result in surgery, but there was no announcement Wednesday. “Because there are some other people being checked out by doctors and we’ll wait to here what the recommendations are,” Dombrowski said. “There may be some people, but the season just ended so we all need to follow up with doctors.”
  12. That can't be the actual quote tho. No results found for "there are no plans for anyone on the roster to have surgery". Results for there are no plans for anyone on the roster to have surgery (without quotes):
  13. Maybe he doesn't think much of them?
  14. Carl Crawford. I hate all Devil Rays from that time period. He never felt like a Red Sox player. It never seemed real to me.
  15. What's the actual quote tho? I've never seen it.
  16. The key is always knowing which prospects to keep and which to deal. It seems he made the right call by keeping Devers in favor of Moncada.
  17. AJ Pierzinsky (sp?)
  18. Tek was hella overrated.
  19. Just keep the political spin out of it please. That's all I'm asking.
  20. Harper has better hair. Better hair = bigger contract
  21. “Don’t caaaaare....” Jay Cutler
  22. Keep your dumb political beliefs about an opposing party to yourself. That’s not what this site is for.
  23. Don’t sign Hosmer!
  24. https://www.overthemonster.com/2017/12/7/16745186/alex-cora-geoff-blum-aj-hinch-dave-dombrowski At the end of the day, this story was probably worth mentioning but the consternation being expressed in the aftermath is so over the top and completely expected. There’s no issue here on the side of Cora or the side of the Red Sox. It would be great if this had never happened, but it did and everyone dealt with it then moved on with their lives. It would be cool if the media did the same thing, but we all know this will be brought up any time there’s a shred of discontent in the Boston clubhouse in 2018. Alex, if you didn’t know what you were getting yourself into before, you certainly do now.
