Combined sales and income tax leaders The Tax Foundation interprets individual tax burden by what taxpayers actually spend in local and state taxes, rather than report these expenses from the state revenue perspective used by the Census Bureau. Its State and Local Tax Burden Rankings study reported that Americans paid an average rate of 9.9 percent in state and local taxes in 2012. According to the foundation, the five highest state-local tax states were: New York 12.7 % Connecticut 12.6% New Jersey 12.2% Illinois 11.0% California and Wisconsin 11.0%

I really struggle with Henry ever since he went on an unhinged rant on EEI about the Crawford signing. I'm happy for his $$$ and he's put the right people in management. He's just one weird dude.

San Diego is a great place to play. Beautiful ball park. Great weather. Surrounding area is one of the nicest places in the nation. Plus, if you have a s***** year, you won't have to deal with much media fallout.

Well, I figured he saw several doctors. I just wonder if either the Sox or Pedey were bigger proponents of the surgery. If the Sox wanted the surgery and Pedroia regrets it, it could cause issues later on.

The Orioles rotation is a thing of beauty.

The good thing about Wright being in the pen is that you can keep him out of weather related situations (i.e. whenever it's wet) and not have to worry about messing with the rotation. I'm not a huge Wright supporter as that knuckleball hasn't sold me.

@PeteAbe Per Alex Cora, the Sox plan to use Steven Wright only as a reliever. For his career, Wright has a 2.99 ERA in 31 relief appearances and 4.00 in 44 starts. But this is more about what they thinks works best given his knee woes.
