  1. I didn't think so either. I don't think I've see a "fair offer" floated anywhere.
  2. He would have needed to get to about 2500 hits, so 4 healthy years.
  3. We offered him $300M?
  4. Not that much, honestly. I wanted him gone years before then.
  5. There is only one Hit Dog, and Devers ain't it.
  6. There are A LOT of guys from WW2 days who have been elected to the HOF that don't deserve to be. Pedroia is behind Willie Randolph, Grich and Whitaker. I think he's on the outside looking in and I don't believe he has a shot at all.. Pedroia only has 1800 hits, which is still an important factor for entry. He doesn't deserve to be in just because the old boys club pushed Evers, McPhee, Schoendienst, Mazeroski and Huggins in. Those guys were definitely not worthy of being in the HOF.
  7. My binky is pretty good. I know how to pick em.
  8. Great player. Loved him.
  9. Should have traded him WHEN I FIRST SAID IT. I was right all along you f***ers.
  10. Mariano is the GOAT.
  11. Barnes is dominant.
  12. Straight to the IL
  13. @PeteAbe #RedSox signed 27-year-old LHP Konner Wade from the independent Sugar Land Skeeters. Former Rockies prospect out of U. of Arizona. He is with AA Portland. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=592831#/career/R/pitching/2019/ALL
  14. If the Marlins keep up that pace, they could win 131 games.
  15. It's the Sox branded "stats account" on Twitter. They don't ever get into much detail.
  16. We don't hate you. We just hate your posts about George Springer.
  17. @SoxNotes MLB’s best records since Apr. 29: 1. Red Sox (16-6, .727) 2. Yankees (15-6, .714) 3. Twins (17-7, .708) In that time, the Sox also lead the majors in runs scored per game (6.68) and OBP (.372).
  18. @SoxNotes Chris Sale has struck out 10+ batters and allowed 4 or fewer hits in each of his last 4 starts. That is tied for the longest such streak ever by a Red Sox pitcher (Pedro Martinez, 1999) and is 1 start shy of the MLB record (Johan Santana, 5 straight in 2004). (via @EliasSports)
  19. @SoxNotes The Red Sox and Astros begin a 3-game series tonight. MLB’s best records, 2016-19: 1. Red Sox (321-215, .599) 2. Astros (321-216, .598) 3. Cubs (319-215, .597) 4. Dodgers (319-218, .594)
  20. It's always that time.
  21. Think of a better insult?
  22. @redsoxstats Once it gets to a 2-strike count Barnes, Hembree, Workman, Walden are executioners. They rank 4th, 10th, 17th, 21st out of 175 relievers in putting away batters via strikeout. Barnes has thrown 106 2-strike pitches and has 36 strikeouts, only Stephenson, Giles, Buttrey better.
