  1. Just as a reminder: 15 games for domestic violence 80 games for performance enhancers Seems pretty f***ed up to me.
  2. @alexspeier Steven Wright: ‘We couldn’t figure out how this substance got into my body. But st the end of the day, it’s my responsibility...It falls on me.’ Wright says he can’t prove it was unintentional, so he accepts he has to serve suspension. Failed an offseason test and appealed.
  3. Does this clear room on the 40 man?
  4. Dude is a dirtbag. He can go away now.
  5. @BuckinBoston From MLB: “Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 (GHRP-2), a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.”
  6. @lindseyadler Major League Baseball just announced Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright has received an 80-game suspension for use of a performance-enhancing substance.
  7. You seem to care more about the tax than ownership does. Are your rooting for their bank account for some reason?
  8. Why? Ownership can afford it. I just don't understand all the handwringing about payroll when the owners are loaded and have gone above the tax threshold before. The make a killing of Sox merch, tix, NESN, etc. The Sox aren't the Sisters of the Poor.
  9. The collusion was caused by the penalties imposed by the tax cap. They need to fix this in the next MLBPA negotiations and also install a salary floor for teams.
  10. Sox should offer 3/40 and see if he takes it.
  11. But the cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffffffffffffffffff........................
  12. She'll still do both even though there seems to be an issue with conflict of interest (same can be said for ARod and David Ross).
  13. No more gay jokes please. Leave that s*** on BDC.
  14. Checks notes: https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=12768&position=P#pitchtype Hate to stan for the Yankees, but the lie detector test determined that was a lie.
  15. Still the lamest thing in professional sports.
  16. Gio's velo has been way down the past two years. I'm not sure if his stuff would play in the AL. He's a back of the rotation starter going forward IMO. He has value, but isn't going to be cashing big checks in FA. It's very likely that he signs with the Yanks for a one year deal. Dallas has been very up and down over his short career and there are questions about his durability. He's definitely not a contender for a long term contract and I think he's holding out for more than a one year deal at this point. From MLBTraderumors: The lefty’s strikeout percentage dipped from 21.4 percent in 2017 to 17.5 percent in 2018 (7.7 K/9 vs. 6.7), and his swinging-strike rate fell from 10.9 percent to 8.3 percent. His ground-ball rate of 53.7 percent, while well north of the league average, also represented a substantial step back from 2017’s 66.8 percent mark and from his overall career mark of 58.8 percent. The biggest problem is that he was expecting a 9 figure deal and held out for one. Now, most potential suitors have moved on without him.
  17. Pedro Ciriaco says hello.
  18. Pedey debuting on Thursday.
  19. He shouldn't be expected to give the team a discount.
  20. @lindseyadler Aaron Boone says it's "highly unlikely" Luis Severino will be ready for the start of the season. Back to back to back to back.
  21. All those division titles, and World Series pennants are really cluttering up around here.
  22. I don’t care about that.
