    Who are you referencing? Duran? Rafaela? Bregman? Roman? Abreu? Devers? Narvaez? On an fWAR/G basis, Story was not the best player on the team last year. Far from it.

    Like I said above, bring up Gamboa today (he's supposed to start). Call up Wehunt for Sunday for the bullpen game and have him start (his scheduled start date).

    The theory is that small ball doesn't work in the postseason. You need homeruns. Currently, the Sox are hitting homeruns. MIL 25: 22nd in HR MIL 26: 30th in HR Red Sox are 4th in MLB in HR since July 1.

    I flinch whenever someone compares the 2026 Red Sox to the Brewers. I hope having Rafaela/Contreras/Abreu/Rutschman can push them further in the playoffs than the Brew Crew.

    Their offense was much more productive last year than this year. If they can't hit in the postseason again, they are in trouble. Harrison started to slow down in July. Drohan is their 3rd highest fWAR pitcher. I don't know if that's really something to brag about.

    This shows how weak the system is now. Mataczynski 13? Shelar 15? Gutierrez 20? (I believe Ian Cundall said he was 24th in the Giants system but should have been lower) I think they are still too low on Garcia and Brannon. I know they are 1B/DH only probably, but they have a better chance at MLB than a lot of guys ahead of them.

    Sox needed a 2b with pop and Craig found one. Not many RHB moved at the deadline! Early now has forearm tightness after a bullpen session and is being shutdown, FYI.
