    The top of the order was not fine by any metric. If they can fix hitters 1-4, the rest of the lineup will fall into place. They don't have the correct guys on the 40 man to have a decent 1-4.

    Let him go mash elsewhere. He's not part of the long term plan. That's what the Sox need to figure out right now. Get rid of the short term roadblocks.

    Yup, it's why he wasn't called up. The only way he was going to get called up is if Story couldn't get healthy in September.

    I don't think Snell could have anticipated that Chourio (25 HR, 130 wRC+, 4.6 fWAR) would be able to take him deep if he put the ball on a tee with the very first pitch. Seems unfair! 😤

    I think there's a lot to say about "similarity" with how they are pumping out 6'5" LHP pitchers with similar stuff. I get that it can move guys through the system, but agree that not having enough different looks for the hitters is a detriment. I do like that they acquired Gray and Suarez as they didn't fit the mold of guys that are in the pipeline. While it's not ideal, it's better than Bloom drafting a bunch of pitchability guys that never moved the needle at all.

    Tolle's arm angle changed from 25 to 26 as much as Hicks and Harrison's did. Maybe they do adjust the arm angle, but aren't really projecting it to the public?

    I wouldn't. I think only Arias should be a top 100 guy right now.

    Swing on 0-0 no matter what. Take the next two pitches. One will most likely be a ball. Swing on pitch 4 because now it's either 2-1 and you're ahead or 1-2 and you're protecting the plate.
