    No, but they should. I think they'll try to re-sign Bregman and possibly fail. They'll have some excuse as to how the market surprised them or whatever. Probably just add a few low end relievers and a high injury risk starter.

    Living out there at the time, everyone despised that ownership group even before it all fell apart. The Grady Little years were largely wasted by Ned Colletti. Things were relatively exciting for a brief period when Torre was the manager and Mannywood hit.

    The McCourts get separated because Jamie is cheating with her bodyguard in fall of 2009. 12 months later, the post-nuptial agreement is invalidated by a judge. McCourt runs out of money and is unable to make payroll. MLB seized control from McCourt in April 2011. Great ownership, really.     4 out of the top 5 spenders made the playoffs. 2 out of the top 5 made the Championship Series. If TOR wins tonight, the 2 WS teams will be top 5 spenders. Henry should like those odds. SEA may not have spent a ton, but they made a splash at the deadline and have a cheap, loaded rotation.
