  1. @PeteAbe Alex Verdugo now .328/.383/.514 and +7 DRS (6th among all OFs). Was Mookie for Verdugo straight up a good deal?
  2. @byJulianMack Devers' Aug. 29 slash line: .220/.264/.398, a .662 OPS and four homers. Today: .293/.345/.550, an .894 OPS and a team-leading 11 homers. Special hitter.
  3. Because right now he's cheap and very good.
  4. MIA Runs Scored - 211 Runs Allowed - 231 Expected W/L - 21-26 Actual W/L - 25-22
  5. This is what happens in a short season. It's LOL random. MIA is below average in OPS, ERA, FIP, SO/BB, WHIP.
  6. Johan Quezada must be the Marlins version of Robinson Leyer.
  7. 2 mins agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Yairo Munoz left Thursday’s game versus Miami early due to lower back spasms. Prior to his departure, Munoz went 0-for-2 at the dish, ceding way in left field to Tzu-Wei Lin. Having seen consistent playing time since making his season debut on Sept. 1, Munoz has compiled a .333 average through his first 12 games. Despite not having drawn a walk this year, Munoz has flashed potential with six extra-base hits and two stolen bases.
  8. But what if Devers wasn't hitting in front of cardboard cutouts?!?!?!?
  9. @TomCaron Eovaldi put men on the corners with no outs in the fifth but escapes with a pair of K's and a ground out. Scoreless in the 6th. Eovaldi has been outstanding, with 7 K's and no walks. He's averaged 97.6 mph w/ his fastball, touching a max of 100 mph. #RedSox
  10. I don't want to see Lin next season.
  11. Baseball is still too stuffy for LV.
  12. I love the little blue dots that say "in play, run(s)" on gameday. It fills me with joy and anticipation.
  13. Verdugo is the best 2020 Red Sox.
  14. The league, which last expanded in 1998, has some tidying up to do, but for Commissioner Rob Manfred, he envisions a team in the Pacific and Eastern time zones. “Baseball is a growth industry,” Manfred said. “Eventually, we’d like to get to 32 teams.” Maybe: Portland/Vancouver and Nashville (I know they aren't EST)?
  15. Time to pull EO.
  16. There goes the no no.
  17. Munoz pulled from the game.
  18. There's going to be a very dramatic shakeup for MiLB. MiLB will be reduced to only 120 teams. MLB is going to take ownership of all the teams. AAA teams will most likely be within driving distance to the MLB franchises. Affiliations will be moved around dramatically. I believe there is already substantial traction for a Nashville team (currently AAA). Other team: San Antonio/Vancouver/Charlotte
  19. Just in case you didn't realize there's a game on right now.
  20. @redsoxstats Remy says the Sox should shut down Eovaldi after today now that he's proven he's back healthy.
  21. 8 plus 8 plus 7 plus 7. MLB has floated the idea of adding 2 more teams.
  22. I meant to make it an 8 team division with Philly included.
  23. Well, you could have not TL;DR'd the follow up post.
  24. @IanCundall Wasn’t sure they’d fill the spot given there’s only a few weeks left, but will be great experience for Yorke. I wonder if part of the reasoning is to start to get him ramped back up before the Fall Instructional League since his high school season was cut short.
  25. @RedSox The #RedSox today added INF Nick Yorke to their Club Player Pool. RHP Colten Brewer, who remains on the 45-day injured list, was removed from the Club Player Pool. The Club Player Pool is at 59.
