  1. It's absolutely disgusting. Could you imagine if the underdog Canadian team with the 500M 1b and the 255M payroll won? It's not like they were finalists for the bidding wars of Ohtani or Soto or anything.
  2. Also, SP's listed 6th AAA starter is Shane Drohan who has only thrown 70 IP over the past 24 months. Crawford, Sandoval and Perales all have their own health concerns too. Mullins could be 14th on the depth chart today, but 9th when it gets to the end of March TBH. He also has a higher ceiling than a guy like Uberstine IMO. I think the scouting reports on both of those guys are outdated.
  3. Sandlin may end up in the pen, but I don't think it's been decided yet. If Mullins is in the pen, it'd be used as a piggyback guy. I wouldn't put too much stock in what SP has listed as the '26 rosters right now. There will be trades and the Rule 5 draft.
  4. With the amount of injuries that every rotation is expected to have each season, I don't think it's very realistic for BOS to trade a young starter like Bello. Sox don't need to add a spot for a #2, they already lost a rotational piece in Giolito.
  5. 1b Longshot: Alonso Realistic: Hoskins 3b Longshot: Bregman Realistic: Mayer SP Longshot: Young Controllable Arm (Reds, Marlins, Pirates, whoever) Realistic: Zac Gallen
  6. Mullins only pitched one game in relief last season and that was a piggyback start with Noah Dean at the beginning of the season in GVL. I'm not sure they've ultimately decided Sandlin is a reliever either. I think they tried to fast track him to the BOS pen, but it didn't work out in '25.
  7. Wanting vs Counting On are two completely different things moon.
  8. Aroldis Chapman would die before wearing a Yankees uniform again “No way. Not even dead,” Chapman said in a clip shared through Instagram. “If I were told that I was being traded to New York, I’d pack my things and go home. I’ll retire right on the spot if that happens. I’m not crazy. Never again. I dealt with a lot of disrespect there. I put up with a lot of things. I knew that they just wanted to find a way to get rid of me, but they didn’t know how. And I just dealt with it quietly, kept playing, and doing what I always do. I got along well with all the players, never had a problem with anybody, even the manager. We’re friends and we talk and everything. The bosses are the ones who make those decisions.”
  9. They haven't been quick to convert guys to the pen. Doubt they'd do that to him this early.
  10. If only JH would too. 🤐
  11. Zero chance Wong is non-tendered. None. His defense was improved this year. His bat should be a tick better and somewhat playable as it has been in the past. They have NO depth at catcher in the org. It'd be absolutely stupid to move on from Wong.
  12. Campbell isn't the first guy to struggle in his first taste of MLB ball. He'll be back when he's ready.
  13. There's a scenario where he never makes it back to MLB, so sure.
  14. He would 100% choose Casas over Masa. He's benched Masa for extended periods of time when Masa has been hitting well.
  15. Story led the Sox in a few offensive categories, but he's trending downward and can no longer play SS. He's not worth his contract.
  16. I think Story's injury issues were more contact related and the one known arm injury. I wasn't too surprised he made it through the season. Casas is a bigger deal.
  17. He would have to. Right now there is zero. He could make it back to MLB and either find a spot here as DH or get spun elsewhere.
  18. Missing out on Gausman was a big oopsie as well.
  19. Snell only pitched 60 innings in the regular season. I'm glad they didn't sign him TBH.
  20. The offseason of stagnation then? Need to go big! They already took a step back by trading Devers.
  21. I can't fault anyone for throwing in the towel in WSH. Must be miserable there. LAA too.
  22. Should have just signed Sonny Gray a few years ago when available.
