    @PeteAbe Red Sox have yet to put Perez or Richards (or Hernandez - ed) on the 40. Now Ottavino joins the list. So more moves to come. They're at 39.

    @Joelsherman1 Frank German was ranked the #Yankees 24th best prospect by http://MLB.com. The RHP was the sweetener to get Bos to take back Ottavino’ contract. They essentially are buying a prospect to some degree.

    @lindseyadler Adam Ottavino is in the last year of a three-year, $27m contract. Salary for 2021 is technically $8m, but $9m counts against the luxury tax by AAV. Yankees needed an additional 40-man spot and this gives them some more cushion if they want to stay under CBT threshold.
