2018-20 Springer 11.3 fWAR (4th) JBJ 5.7 fWAR (16th behind Gardner/Heyward only 1.1 more than Pillar) If Pillar won't get more than 4AAV, why would JBJ get more than twice that? Anything more than 8M AAV is too much for JBJ IMO. I'd sign him 2/16 or 3/22.

@SoxProspects Newly re-signed SS Jeremy Rivera is celebrating down in PR. In Mayaguez' semifinal sweep of Manati, he went 11 for 17 with 2 2B, 1 3B, & 2 HR. He didn't walk and had a sac fly, allowing him to turn in the rare "avg-higher-than-obp" line of .647/.611/1.235 for the four games.

Sign Kike and a cheap CF that is in some sort of rotation with Kike (Almora/Pillar/DeShields)? Chavis/Arroyo also rotate in at 2b with Kike?

Sox should just get better with JD and Beni returning to form. I think the Sox struggled out of the gate and were never able to catch up in 2020. I think that if they played 162 games last year that they would have wound up closer to .500 than where they were. If ERod is healthy, Houck pitches like 2020 and one new rotation add gives them quality innings, this team will be in the hunt.

Moreland should be closer to 2-3M IMO. I don't think they pick up a 2B unless it's a UTIL guy like Kike.

They need to sign a mid rotation guy (Odorizzi/Tanaka), one of the better relievers left, another average reliever and a CF. You can do that with 30M. They'll probably even pick Mitch up on a one year deal too.

I hope someone else overpays JBJ. He deserves the money for 2018, but some other team should pay it.
