  1. Devers and Xander would be tired after 162 games of us making the lineup.
  2. His k rate is a little high IMO. I'd like him to stay down longer and work on it.
  3. Maybe JD would get an offer of 3/45, but does that surpass what he'd get if he stuck around? He'd get 19.35 year 1, go to FA and get 2/30ish?
  4. 34 year old DH's don't typically command a big pay check. Guys like Edwin Encarnacion and Nelson Cruz were more likely to get 1-2 year deals each offseason.
  5. If there is an injury, I bet they'd promote someone else.
  6. Considering how much time he missed due to injury the past few years, it would make sense to have him gear up in AAA for a few weeks regardless of his previous performance in AAA 4 years ago.
  7. Yup, only the mods can delete it and we really don't have any active mods.
  8. I don't think we see Duran before ASB.
  9. It's my preferred lineup.
  10. He's good protection for JD, but I think I'd rather give Devers the protection and use Devers' speed ahead of JD. I also, don't like Kiké/Dalbec in the 3 hole. Yuck.
  11. Swap 3 and 5.
  12. Boston Red Sox option Michael Chavis to Triple-A Worcester; Christian Arroyo expected to be activated from IL
  13. You're most likely right, but I think Ort will get promoted at some point this season.
  14. Also, Jeter Downs will be playing for Colombia.
  15. Casas and Duran will be playing for Team USA over the next two weeks, FYI.
  16. Unless we are really scared about losing Brewer to the Rays. That could really come back to bite us!
  17. So far, 3 IP and has given up a run each time out.
  18. @SoxNotes Rankings among AL players at their positions: Bogaerts 10 HR – 1st 30 RBI – 1st .345 AVG – 1st .402 OBP – 1st .602 SLG – 1st Devers 13 HR – 1st 39 RBI – 1st 27 XBH – 1st .592 SLG – 1st .943 OPS – 1st Martinez 38 R – 1st 12 HR – 2nd 37 RBI – 1st .404 OBP – 1st .996 OPS – 1st
  19. Outfielder Tyler Dearden has been named the High-A East Player of the Week for May 17-23, it was announced this morning by Minor League Baseball. Over five games played, Dearden compiled a .450/.522/.1.050 slash line with three homers, three doubles, nine hits and 21 total bases. He scored seven runs and registered nine RBI.
  20. Nope, it shows .246. You're using the "1st half" number.
  21. While Yorke may be struggling, another top 10 prospect in Salem has been playing pretty good so far: @IanCundall Red Sox OF Gilberto Jimenez hit his first HR of the season yesterday. For the year, he's hitting .352/.403/.479 w/a 13% K rate. His hitting data is encouraging also. Chase rate is down, quality of contact is up significantly and he's hitting the ball a lot harder more frequently.
  22. 2020 Amateur Draft: Nick Yorke - not playing very will in A, but is currently on a 5 game hitting streak, not showing any power yet Blaze Jordan - working out in GCL, games haven't started yet Jeremy Wu-Yelland - 1.59 ERA, 4 GS, 11.1 IP, 14 K, 1.15 WHIP in A Shane Drohan - 0.75 ERA, 3 GS, 12 IP, 15 K, 0.92 WHIP in A
  23. 2020 Rule 5 Draft: Garrett Whitlock - pitching well for BOS Kaleb Ort - 7 G, 5 SV, 11K, 0.71 WHIP in AAA Tyreque Reed - .439 OBP, 1.178 OPS, 6 HR in A+ Seems like Bloom did ok?
  24. Is the next move to DFA Brewer and add Ort?
