  1. He had antibodies of COVID but not active COVID.
  2. @ChrisCotillo Barring something unforeseen, Red Sox will be making two moves to finalize their Opening Day roster: * Chavis expected to be optioned, as Cordero is ready * Final bullpen spot down to Brewer vs. Valdez Brasier to IL, too. Sounds like Vázquez will be good to go. E-Rod to IL is possible, I guess, but not sure. No new news then.
  3. @ChrisCotillo Whitlock, McCarthy and Andriese were among those held out of camp due to contact tracing. Sure seems like Richards was, too, though not confirmed. All now cleared.
  4. @alexspeier Cora confirms Matt Barnes has been cleared by the COVID-19 Joint Committee, and Sox expect to be at full strength for the start of the season. Hell yeah dude.
  5. No idea. Today's MLB boxscore doesn't list pitch counts yet.
  6. @lindseyadler Here's a story on the memo MLB and the MLBPA sent to clubs today about Covid protocols. Amongst other things, players will be able to play video games together in the clubhouse again if 85% of Tier 1 gets vaccinated. Clubhouse going wild right now.
  7. @Joelsherman1 Matt Barnes was ruled to have a non-infectious positive for COVID-19 and is back in camp, and so are all #RedSox players who were considered close contacts.
  8. @NBCSEdgeBB Red Sox think Barnes could have false positive
  9. @SoxProspects Another quick inning for Tanner Houck including some revenge on Ozzie Albies via the 6th strikeout of his outing. He's allowed two hits and has yet to allow a walk through four innings. Control had previously been Houck's most noticeable difficulty of the Spring.
  10. Seeing as a ton of critics that didn't like the Yorke pick have come around on it, I have confidence that Bloom can do better at #4 than I can.
  11. Never heard of them. AAAA?
  12. If he could only find some control.
  13. Kiké, JD and Marwin have all HR'd so far today. @redsoxstats Houck's 1st: swinging strikeout, 96 mph single to right field swinging strikeout, 91 mph swinging strikeout, 86 mph The k's were Acuna, Ozuna and Freeman.
  14. @alexspeier Great stuff from @CarlosACollazo . Updated draft projection has a clear top 3 in the draft-- Vanderbilt RHPs Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter, along with HS SS Jordan Lawler (forecasted as the No. 1 pick) --with another HS SS, Marcelo Mayer, increasingly looking like the clear No. 4.
  15. Well, there are other owners out there well under the cap that probably have a need for Porcello.
  16. @ChrisCotillo Nothing official past Eovaldi, but with the way it's lined up, looks like this could be the rotation for the opening series vs. Baltimore: THU: Eovaldi SAT: Houck SUN: Pérez
  17. Vazquez says he wouldn't miss Opening Day, but he still has a big horseshoe scar around his eye from getting hit with a stray ball. Stitches to come out Thursday maybe. Seeing eye doctor on Wednesday. https://twitter.com/ChrisCotillo/status/1376562277076373510
  18. Kiké 2019: 3/28 - 4/19: 967 OPS 4/20 - 6/22: 539 OPS 6/23 - 8/30: 1020 OPS 8/31 - 9/29: 391 OPS
  19. Apparently, we just need to be ready for some JBJ-like cold streaks.
  20. And the fact that he's still sitting at home means that we are the dumbasses.
  21. From the list of guys that were available yesterday and today, the Sox are lucky isn't wasn't much worse.
  22. https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/50166/8
  23. To me, he can be a solid (if underwhelming) fixture in the rotation that is currently filled with question marks regarding health.
  24. Guys that are NOT in contact tracing: Eovaldi, Perez, Houck, and Rodriguez. Ottavino, Sawamura, Hernandez, Taylor, Brice, Valdez, Walden, Brewer, Pivetta, Winckowski, Hernandez, Ort, Blair, Espinal, Gonsalves, Politi, Hart, Hall Arroyo, Verdugo, Plawecki, Hernandez, Cordero, Martinez, Bogaerts, Devers, Renfroe, Gonzalez, Merrman, Chavis, Duran, Downs, Dalbec, Ockimey, Yorke De La Guerra, Puello, Gettys, Jimemez, Wong, Cottam, Vazquez, Jimenez, Bandy Guys potentially in contact tracing: Sale, Brasier, Wilson, Arauz, Richards, Bazardo, Groome, Seabold, Whitlock, Andriese, Schreiber, German, McCarthy, Cottam
