    @jakemkaplan Both Carlos Correa and Kyle Tucker are off today against lefty Martín Pérez. Questionable for Dusty Baker to give them off on the same day, but both players were due for rest days. Correa hasn’t been off since May 9th, Tucker since May 5th. LFG

    The real innovation would be to field a second catcher near the backstop to help mitigate the ungodly amount of passed balls.

    They could still move Potts to the 60 day IL, I believe. That would make more sense than losing service time of a high upside guy like Mata.

    I think we were generally happy with the moves he made prior to November 2020. It's not that this offseason was "bad" just underwhelming.

    Cora announced that Workman was called up. Brewer being optioned. This still creates and issue with the 40 man. They have not stated what they will do yet.

    Of course it was "well said" because it agreed with your position. Interesting how that works. Anyway, we were right to complain about the issues with the lineup. You guys were wrong to bury your heads in the sand.

    They all felt like mediocre pickups at best. Even podcast guys were like "I guess we have Marwin now." The only real bright spot was taking two guys from the Yankees in the Rule V draft, both of which have played really well this year.

    Mets player needs to be chosen by Friday night. The Royals players need to be chosen by the end of next week.

    I would also like to say kuddos to people who were noticing that the offense needed to some adjustments. Two thumbs down to people whose only response to that was "but they are winning so everything is fine."

    It was probably brought up less often than the other two, but I believe he was vaguely in the conversation with guys like Lester and Taijuan Walker.

    @alexspeier Johan Mieses, a 25-year-old Red Sox minor leaguer who leads the minors with 11 homers, has been promoted to Triple-A Worcester from Double-A Portland. He hit .286/.368/.714 in 22 games for the Sea Dogs. @redsoxstats Wonder if this opens a spot for Tyreque Reed in Portland soon, he's the only player in the system that's hit better than Mieses (and by a wide margin).

    Workman still in Worcester today. @JoeyMacHockey Workman finished his bullpen and respectfully declined to comment on his status. “Too much stuff going on,” he said.

    Player of the Day: Arguably the best hitter in High-A this year, Tyreque Reed had another great game on Tuesday as he hit a home run and a triple while adding a sacrifice fly. The performance boosted his triple slash to .309/.435/.736 and his eight home runs are the most in High-A East. The first baseman is blocked in Portland by Triston Casas, but if the soon-to-be 24-year-old keeps up this performance the Red Sox will need to challenge him with a promotion to Double-A. I'm not sure the Rule V draft pick has a high ceiling, but keeping him in A+ isn't helping him at all. They should just promote him and have him play DH. I'd also call up Mieses to AAA and waive Tate Matheny.

    If only the AL East could play the NL East AND the AL West. Sox would be like 15 games above .500 right now.

    I'd take Leiter/Rocker and then follow up with a TJ guy in the 2nd.

    Yes, he has chosen to opt out. It's up to the Sox to promote him or let him go elsewhere.
