  1. He runs "unique" routes to flyballs.
  2. I think COVID played a significant role in Taylor's struggles. He was productive in 2019. Sucked after coming back from COVID in 2020 and sucked his first few outings in 2021. He seems to be better now.
  3. Kiké for Cordero. OF would be Verdugo LF, Kiké CF, Renfroe RF
  4. If it goes poorly, I either get to switch the channel or head to bed early.
  5. What I'd do: Kiké activated - Send Cordero down Arroyo activated - Send Arauz down DFA Brice - Call up Santana
  6. I'd think long and hard about bringing Wilson up and DFA'ing Cordero. They are probably just waiting on Santana to get healthy.
  7. They should use Taylor and Valdez more in higher leverage situations. Ottavino is a white knuckle reliever IMO.
  8. Cordero is a unique case. He hasn't been healthy enough to ever play full time. If AAA started on 4/1, he would have probably been there. His swing and miss is just horrendous right now. It's bottom 3% of the league. When Cora is even saying he's "lost" you know the current plan isn't working out. There haven't been much signs of him pulling out of it. It's not "bad luck." He's just completely lost. When JBJ was struggling, he'd at least get on base with a few walks. Cordero can't do that. Yes, if he had gold glove caliber defense, you could make a case for still playing him. Right now, he has options. Send him to AAA.
  9. None of them have "or cash considerations" attached to the transaction?
  10. Unless you're Cora or Bloom.
  11. It's a piece of paper right now.
  12. If Cordero had JBJ's glove, he'd be worth a longer look.
  13. I think that's the most likely course of action. Or he'll just be used as an opener and only go a few innings at a time. I don't see him getting to 6 innings in a game this season.
  14. No, having a .450 OPS is what hurt his image. He had an OPS of 770 after his first 10 games. He struggled mightily after then. He's bottom 3% in whiff% and same in k%.
  15. If he's going to play everyday, they need to plug the other offensive struggles against RHP (1B/LF). Then you can keep him for his defense, I guess...
  16. Renfroe is good defensively. He'd be better offensively if he was in a strict platoon.
  17. For Whitlock, I think they are also mindful that he's coming off TJS and are trying to baby him a little. I'm fine keeping the training wheels on him this year.
  18. @steve_hewitt Alex Cora on Jarren Duran: "I know a lot of people are excited about what he’s doing. We are too, but obviously there’s an advantage of him getting at-bats and playing every day and going out there and playing defense. So far, he’s been great. We’re very happy with the progress."
  19. 13 batters is fine IF YOU NEVER HAVE ANY INJURIES.
  20. It was only 2 pitches that went OOP. The rest of it was fine!
  21. WOOSox legend
  22. Family Dollar version of Dustin Pedroia
