I still think this team is a 85-86 win team. I don't think 90+ is out of the realm of possibilities. I think they'd just need a lot of things to break the right way.
I think the starting rotation could go sideways due to injury.
Casas is apparently very good at 1B. He's got good athleticism. He's supposed to be much better than Dalbec or at least to have a defensive ceiling of being much better.
I'd keep Whitlock, Taylor and Sawamura over Andriese for sure. Valdez? I'm not a fan, but I want to see one more year out of him.
Typically these situations work themselves out due to injury or bad performance. I don't think they need to dump Andriese do to a roster crunch.
I understand. I think we know JD will be gone at some point. The question is if Casas is mashing, what does that do to Dalbec? If Devers' defense doesn't get better, I could see him being pushed to DH and Dalbec taking over at 3b.
You have spotted them, but it definitely was not 90 percent. Around the time of April 2016, there were a lot of BDC guys that suddenly became Dutchy suspects (maybe Slasher?).
