    I think I've had 2 guys on IL most of the year (starting with Soto) and have had to rotate through other guys coming on and off.

    Their attendance is low due to ballpark location and the population surrounding it. They do have very good tv ratings. It's not that people don't care about the team.

    The first deal was good. Though people around here talk about Price's deal being worth it for a banner. Without the ARod deal, the Yankees don't have a banner for 20 years.

    @DevJake My guess is that they DFA someone and call up Kaleb Ort. I'm pulling for Ort, but I don't see it yet.

    Also, they could place Hudson Potts on 60 Day IL because they are probably not worried about his service time. That would free up a roster spot. You wouldn't want to do that with Mata as he is a much higher profile prospect. I do wonder how long they'll hold onto Jay Groome.

    There's no 40 man crunch. There are a ton of guys they could dump without issue.

    This is in regards to Cordero demotion to AAA. Unsure about Bazardo. He has not been as advertised this year.

    @PeteAbe And there you go. The Sox have optioned Franchy Cordero to Worcester. .179/.228/.274 with 37 strikeouts in 102 plate appearances.

    @redsoxstats Brewer and Brandon Brennan are the current 40-man options to be recalled, with Brennan's stuff seemingly much better. Could also see a 40-man roster move for Kevin McCarthy or Kaleb Ort, both have been good. Orrrr maybe it's something completely different, we shall see.

    Just to get back to the point: MOOKIE WAS TRADED BECAUSE THE SOX DIDN'T WANT TO PAY AN EXTRA 60M OVER 2 YEARS. THEY WERE FINE, BUT WOULD NOT CROSS THE THRESHOLD OF 10/300.

    Leiter and Rocker were the marquee names going into the season. Without 2020 scouting, it was hard to determine who else would get a bump. The change in their standing is most likely due to increased eyeballs on all of these other guys.
