  1. Rusney couldn't get added to the MLB roster because of his contract. KC will most likely be added to the MLB roster because of his contract.
  2. Back to back days of ABS challenge practices.
  3. That's the only point we're trying to make. They chose the wrong guy to deal, unless the ChiSox were adamant about Teel, though they already had a highly ranked C at the time (Quero).
  4. Take their k% and subtract their bb%. Mayer is 11.3. Meidroth is 12.3. I just used the sources you listed.
  5. Having them trade the MiLB Player of the Year instead of a guy ranked in the teens for the org is kinda crazy don't you think? Swapping those two doesn't make sense. If you want to move KC, get more value than a return of a guy well outside the top 100.
  6. He sees 4.09 pitches per plate appearance. The only '26 Red Sox to see more are Anthony, Monasterio and Narvaez. 10 of 15 Red Sox hitters see a below league average amount of pitchers per plate appearance.
  7. Sure, if they were DH's who got pinch ran for every time they reached the base, maybe that'd be something?
  8. Thanks @Nick John Seigler is an interesting player. He's ambidextrous and can play all 9 positions. Not sure how well his bat will translate to MLB, but seems like a chill dude. Campbell increasing his FB rate this season is definitely a good thing. The under the hood stuff looks a lot better than it did last season.
  9. Trading Meidroth brought them Crochet. That's part of the calculation here.
  10. I liked Meidroth when he was in the org. I was higher on him than SoxProspects was. Thought he could at least be a good UTIL guy for them since the Red Sox didn't see him as a starter.
  11. I've said all along that Contreras would have a higher fWAR at the end of the year. 1.8 to 1.3 as of today.
  12. BOS as a team has a 348 OBP over the past 15 days. 15 day OBP Duran 400 (6 HR's in that timeframe) IKF 475 Contreras 468 Gasper 393 Wong 385
  13. So it's better that they traded him away then!
  14. Mayer actually has a better K-BB rate this season than Meidroth and hits the ball harder. Once he figures it out, it won't be close.
  15. I can't fault Contreras for not having runners on ahead of him to knock in.
  16. Happy Birthday to Sox Legends: Carl Everett, Luis Urias, Duane Josephson, Steve "Psycho" Lyons, Urbane Pickering, Julio Valdez, Chappie Geygan
  17. Development is not linear. They have already invested heavily in Campbell and believe Marcelo is worth more than Ketel Marte. Let's see where they are in a few years rather than relying on faulty ZiPS (who projects Contreras to only have 13 HR's this season and 1.7 fWAR and he already has 11 and 1.8).
  18. Cool. Contreras has better numbers right now! Batting Average OBP SLG max EV Barrel % xwOBA Pull AIR %
  19. 1-2 this series for the 2026 Sox at Fenway just like every other series.
