  1. Logged into Baseball Ref. Jarren Duran's page: Similar Batters 1. Jake Fraley (988.1)
  2. The problem with Heaney's roller coaster is that you're bound to end up underwater.
  3. Those 4 would project out to Jake Fraley if Jake Fraley was a pitcher.
  4. I'm sure if you are trading for Duran that you aren't expecting MVP numbers in 2022. I do find it interesting that they are giving him a 0.1 BsR for that many PA's.
  5. He's a roller coaster ride that I'm glad the Sox are not part of.
  6. Wanna hear a joke? From MLB Trade Rumors: Clubs project him as a sound bounce-back candidate with left-hander Robbie Ray serving as the model.
  7. I think Houck is a better fit in the pen too, but a guy like that has much less value than Castillo.
  8. Not today Satan.
  9. Trade for him and extend him. You're only getting Castillo at that price point because of the lack of control. With Houck, I'm not sure if he gets any better as a pitcher. Right now, he's a back end starter. Would I rather 5 years of a back end starter or 2 years of an ace?
  10. I won't hold my breath.
  11. And he doesn't have to be 1st half of 2021 good, just a normal Barnes year would be fine.
  12. Hard disagree.
  13. I'm fine with deal #1.
  14. Martinez was coming off 5 fWAR and 8.5 fWAR back to back seasons. Castillo is NOT at that level. That trade is an ovepay
  15. I agree that Bloom won't sign two "established" relievers. I'm not sure he signs even one.
  16. I didn't recommend Escobar for the Sox. I was just saying that his projected deal was a good value.
  17. But why?
  18. They wouldn't get much back for Renfoe. When he's hot, he can carry a lineup.
  19. If they signed Iggy instead of Escobar, I wouldn't mind it. I think that Escobar is a good value though.
  20. Yes, I don't like Story because of his away splits. Arenado also had massive splits, which now is a reverse split for STL 722 Home and 885 Away. It's always safer to stay away from Coors guys.
  21. ERod at 5/70 Iglesias 4/56 Graveman 3/27 Escobar 2/20
  22. 1. He's only been in the org for 4 years. 2. He missed 2020 as did the vast majority of players. 3. He's been a full time player since he's been in the org. 4. He's appeared in over 100 games. He basically has the same usage as Kimbrel did after being drafted.
  23. I'm the super-ego of TalkSox.
  24. They toyed around with Valdez's playing time enough this year. May as well let him loose.
