  1. Murphy's previous career high in innings was 100. He threw 150 this year. That's a pretty big jump. AAA ERA/WHIP July 4.64/1.41 Aug 5.66/1.60 (when he went over 100+ innings) Sept 6.26/1.76
  2. In July 2022 the rankings were: Walter 5 Winckowski 9 Murphy 10 Seabold 11 Walter is considered a better prospect, but I think he's well behind Bello or Mata. Murphy is probably just a bullpen arm? People are just excited that the Sox have anything to provide the MLB squad even if it's just a bunch of up and down guys that are lottery tickets.
  3. Because that's the argument we are having.
  4. Mets stated they were prioritizing Diaz and Nimmo. Wonder if they are going to overpay Nimmo as well?
  5. ^ This amount also includes keeping Paxton. If they dump Paxton, they'd have 100M+ to spend which is the amount that moon would be comfortable with having to spend.
  6. Yes, I'd spend a premium to get Turner here. I wouldn't pay JD 3/34.
  7. Minor Overpay Alert! Adolis Garcia For Walter Duran Lugo Murphy
  8. Casas is the 1b. DH is not settled.
  9. Manny and Pedroia are both on for a few more years totaling about 4.5M per annum.
  10. Where are you getting that amount from? They had about $115M leave via trade/FA/projected opt outs since last summer. I've seen their current payroll and benefits at 165M with Xander. Take Xander out and that's 145M. Lux tax of 233 would mean there's 90M to spend.
  11. SS - gone C - gone, but have McGuire DH - gone, but don't have to spend RF - same hole as last year SP - Eovaldi, Wacha and Hill are gone but with the injuries it's just 2 guys to fill and they already have Paxton and Sale that didn't contribute at all in 2022
  12. Probably not, but at least it's a counter offer and not just walking away!
  13. @redsoxstats When I ran that survey a couple of weeks ago, the average Bogaerts contract you voted for was 5.8 years, $26.9M AAV (6 years, $161M). Fangraphs just released all their crowdsource: 6/168M median 6/173M average FanGraphs writers: "No one is quite sure what to make of Bogaerts" 6/165 (27.5 AAV) seems reasonable to me. I don't know where Heyman is getting the 8 years from. Maybe that's just the "ask" right now?
  14. @David_Ornstein EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool have been put up for sale by Fenway Sports Group. Sale deck has been produced for interested parties. Goldman Sachs + Morgan Stanley assisting evaluation process. Unclear if deal gets done but FSG inviting offers Henry is coming into some $$$ soon.
  15. No, it just shows that Bloom has a lot of work this offseason to construct next year's roster which is true.
  16. Because the Sox should have at least countered Mookie's offer.
  17. Too many years IMO.
  18. They could, they didn't want to.
  19. I'd trade Verdugo for sure. I'd trade Devers if they think they can't re-sign him.
  20. Their what?
  21. Hosmer is getting worse at 1b as he ages and he wasn't exactly great before. Casas is going to be run out at 1b as much as possible.
  22. 1B Casas 2B Story SS ? 3B ? (Devers could be traded) OF ? (Kiké could move to SS, Verdugo could be traded) C ? (rumored acquisition)
  23. 99.5% he opts out. If he doesn't, it's because he fails to do the paperwork in time.
