  1. This is an international vote.
  2. Theo - 2 WS Ben - 1 WS DD - 1 WS Bloom - 0 WS Ben and DD got the Sox over the hump. Bloom has yet to do it and chances are good that he won't. DD got them to back to back to back AL East titles. It was a great run. I wish he had re-signed Mookie instead of Sale/Eovaldi, but here we are.
  3. I think I'm with you. 2020 was rough, but I gave him a pass. 2021 was bit of a pleasant surprise. 2022 has been a big letdown. While I like how the farm system looks now in comparison to a few years ago, if the BOSTON Red Sox don't have a better and more coherent team next season, Henry needs to consider moving on. I'm worried that he's on the Cherington track of last place, first place, last place, last place. I don't like the roller coaster ride.
  4. Who takes criticism of Bloom personally?
  5. At some point, you have to put a deadline on it and make a call. I think it's safe to say that it's most likely a bad trade. Unless Binelas really turns things around next season, it's the worst most baffling trade Bloom has made.
  6. https://twitter.com/MLBPipeline/status/1554902177319116801 Oppo power.
  7. If you get an upgrade for free, how is it a trainwreck of a trade?
  8. Moves should have been made last offseason.
  9. Since this is somehow an overwhelmingly pro-Bloom board, it's going to be interesting to see all the pro-Bloom votes!
  10. I think you really stretched the definition of what an "impact player" was.
  11. What did they give up for Hosmer and Pham?
  12. Bloom's deadline is now a B-.
  13. One could argue that there are 18 other catchers in the league that are better than he is so why are we worried about losing 2 months of him?
  14. The metrics I've seen look good, but until I see it work here, I'm not going to be too interested either way.
  15. 2 months of Vaz? A guy who doesn't frame the ball well and whose bat is just ok. I guess it just depends on how the prospects turn out.
  16. For all the IMPACT that Vaz gave the Sox, the Sox only were 17th in fWAR at Catcher. On an individual basis, there are 18 catchers with higher fWAR than Vaz this season like the immortal Seby Zavala and Nick Fortes.
  17. The TikTok teens told me about it.
  18. Bettor's money would be on neither Dombrowski nor Bloom winning a WS with their current team.
  19. Vaz had a 77 wRC+ last year and 85 for his career. He's not a consistent offensive threat.
  20. The most important metric for a catcher is what they do behind the plate. McGuire is much better behind the plate than Vaz is. Just looking at offensive stats really downplays what a catcher brings to the table. However, I don't believe McGuire is the long term replacement for Vaz.
  21. The games that are played with wins and losses and associated box scores can count as real world IMO.
  22. Can we get back to the real world please?
  23. Who's on it? Ron Darling? I don't really like that guy.
  24. Padres fans keep saying how horrible Hosmer is and that Sox fans will regret the move... Buddy, you haven't seen what we've seen this year...
