  1. Bloom could have traded JD and Eovaldi and their full contracts for low level prospects at the very least. They were able to trade Vaz for two prospects and the Astros only wanted him as a backup catcher. I think some team would have wanted JD for at least a bench bat or Eovaldi as a 5th starter.
  2. Playoff Race on 7/30/22: Yankees ALE MIN ALC HOU ALW TOR WC1 SEA WC2 TBR WC3 Did that change drastically by 9/30/22? Was it so "unpredictable" as you say?
  3. Beauty is in the eye of the goatherder is what I've been told. Baaaah...
  4. "Expected" back. Can't go on "expectations." Gotta go on what you actually know. Being below .500. Knowing your team has a bunch of guys injured and unproductive.
  5. @redsoxstats Heyman projects Bogaerts to get 8 years, $225M (28M AAV through his age 37 season). If it's 8 years at $28M, it's time to let Bogey go. I was ok with 6 and the compromise was 7.
  6. I have said that I understand why they went that route, I just disagree with it. I disagreed with it from before the season even began so maybe I was biased from the jump?
  7. The 21 team struggled at times, but showed a lot of fight. The 22 team only played well in June. Aside from that, they were pretty unwatchable.
  8. On July 30th, the Red Sox starting lineup had 5 players with an OPS under 700. Was that going to win them a WS? Excluding the pitcher, the '21 Braves had 1 player with an OPS under 700 on 7/30/21 starting. Do we really want to go down the lineup and compare position by position and say why the two teams are very dissimilar?
  9. If that's all they could have gotten for JD and Eovaldi, then fine... At least they would've gotten under the cap.
  10. Nobody wishes that, especially not Celtics fans. They hate him the most.
  11. I can't imagine him doing hot yoga. Wonder if it would do him good?
  12. When I lived in Boston, it was really scary to ride my bike. I quit after about a year. My cousin was hit after the last game of the Bruins/Vancouver Stanley Cup Finals and spent a week in the hospital. She still has no sense of smell. The driving culture in Boston is bad due to traffic, poorly designed streets and people with horrible attitudes. Now that cars and trucks are getting larger and larger with even stronger engines, it's even less safe for bikers and pedestrians. I will admit that there are bikers in Boston who don't follow the rules of the road and give others a bad rap, but doesn't give aggressive drivers the authority to run bikes off the road or plow through crosswalks.
  13. The most common cycling injuries from riding a Peloton Bike include knee pain, back pain, saddle sore, wrist pain, and ankle pain. Chris Sale - 60 Day IL "Saddle Sore"
  14. Time to clip in.
  15. According to the IIHS, from 2018-2020, about 80% of all the bicycle fatalities were in urban areas. However, roughly 81% of the US population lives in what is defined as an "urban" area, so it seems equally dangerous to ride your bike no matter where you live. 67% of all bicycle fatalities are due to vehicle related incidents.
  16. Keith Law would have still been down on it.
  17. They should have at least traded the guys on expiring contracts like JD, Eovaldi, Wacha, Hill, etc. There was no reason to keep them around. They were 50-52 on July 30th. It was a sinking ship. After the 3-13 stretch from 7-3 to 7-24 was when everyone should have just been unloaded.
  18. I'm sorry that the pats haven't appropriately apologized for IRgate. I'm not sure TalkSox has the right emoji for that one.
  19. Probably this guy.
  20. Would the Sox have to pay out the contract upon death?
  21. IRgate? f***ingLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Have you ever put a ball outside in the winter? The Pats played better after the "suspect" balls were removed from play, right?
  22. He's a married man now! He's changed! https://twitter.com/mikekadlick/status/1581131900244348928
  23. I wonder if the stigma will stick with Kraft too?
  24. What's the new one? What was the previous one?
  25. It's not getting him on the field any faster.
