    Last time out, he went 5 IP and pitched well. He also increased his pitch total by 10 pitches from his previous post-injury starts. My guess is that he can go to 90 pitches today as long as everything looks good. He's never thrown 160 IP before and he's at 108 right now. This is just kind of his workload TBH. They also want to save him for the playoffs.

    Rutschman 3/26 - 5/9: 986 OPS 5/10 - 7/18: 654 OPS 8/11 - 8/16: 332 OPS Many people were warning about his April numbers doing a lot of heavy lifting for his YTD stats. 705 OPS since the start of '24.

    People have spoken a lot about the "premium" it took to keep him away from the Yankees. You trade for Adley because you want him. It should have nothing to do with the Yankees.

When looking at their wOBA comparatively to what was expected, this drop-off was coming... Five hitters have overperformed since the break, three of them in the league-wide top 10, and their output is worth monitoring if you rely on any of these Boston bats. Abreu in particular, almost inexcusably running a .188 BABIP and a .380 wOBA/.398 xwOBA. But I guess that’s what happens when you have 10 home runs in 27 games, and a HR/FB rate of 21.7%.

    At this point, Drohan would be in the starting conversation TBH. He has started for MIL. If they are including Houck, Kutter and Oviedo, they'll have to go 13-14 deep next season.

    We know what Tanner Houck is already. He's had one great half of a season to his career. The rest of it has been a conversation of "is he a starter or reliever." Oviedo has a substantial injury history. Kutter has the same. How can a reasonable CBO count on either of them? I don't even know what to say about Crochet TBH. He's somewhere between CY and TJS.

    The trade was Harrison AND Drohan. Drohan has been worth a lot more than you think. We already knew Houck was going to be out for most of the season and weren't planning on him. Kutter has been out for 2 full seasons now and it's time to just write him off. "If everyone was healthy, we wouldn't have a depth issue!" Is that a serious argument?

    It was also several years of drafting that led to Early, Dobbins, Eyanson, Tolle, etc.
