  1. BTV doesn't accept those types of deals. Reality check! You need to add at least one high-value player to the other side of this trade for it to be accepted, and make sure there’s not too many.
  2. If everyone is to the right of 2b, learn to hit the other way.
  3. It's Friday. You ain't got no job. And you ain't got s*** to do.
  4. I thought he said sustained hellbenders who dismember Bloom dissenters, but not defenders. My mlb.tv was glitchy at the time.
  5. Because he's coming off an injury, but could still produce at the same level as Nimmo if not better.
  6. Has there even been a Noah Song update recently? Last I heard he was still in limbo. There are a lot of arms. A guy like Zeferjahn could be featured in the pen next year if he reduces his pitch mix. The most intriguing arms outside of Bello and Mata to me are probably Wikelman, Perales and Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz. None of them would be up in the next two years though.
  7. The newest market inefficiency is collecting guys that can't play in TOR. Just send WOO up there a few times a year and see if Mieses can blast a few upper deck shots for funsies. You'll be able to rest your pitching staff and won't need to give your roster days off the rest of the year because they'd be built in during trips to TOR. You're only punting on 10 games a year and maybe WOO wins 2 of them?
  8. He played 150 games in 18 and 19 and I think you'd be buying low on him coming off the injury. I anticipate he'd get a smaller deal than Nimmo, which is the only reason I'm suggesting Conforto instead. Maybe he'd even sign a short term deal to earn his value back. Both guys have similar question marks about durability IMO, similar career OPS, both LHB and played OF for the dumb Mets. I just think Conforto could be a little cheaper this offseason.
  9. At the very least, they have a bunch of "guys" that can at least provide value in the pen or in a trade. Bloom just has to figure out which arms he really likes.
  10. Don't make me tap the sign, old man.
  11. You SHOULD be higher on them. You should be HIGHER on them. I believe those are two completely different sentences. Please don't call me "name back."
  12. Should we really be looking to sign guys that can only play 120 games?
  13. Binelas has hit in 6 of the last 7 games after being absolutely atrocious in AA. (8 H, 5 2B, 1 HR, 2BB, 6 K)
  14. I was agreeing with you, numbnuts... Hard for me to really separate Walter/Wink/Sea/Crawdaddy just yet. They are all in a gumbo of who the hell knows, but are probably back end of the rotation guys who probably kick around the league in bullpen roles. None of them pop out at you the way Mata and Bello do. You could probably throw Ward into that mix as well for now.
  15. Gettys in POR: 15.2 IP, 0.52 ERA, 8 BB, 8 K, 1.09 WHIP, 0.515 OPSa
  16. He's only played over 100 games twice in his career so what does a 162 game average matter?
  17. Mata and Bello have "live arms." You should be higher on them. Brandon Walter is an older guy who has better command/control than any of the other guys you've mentioned. He hasn't shown anything above AA yet though. He's already 26.
  18. 111 tOPS+ vs the Sox, who are his 4th favorite AL team to play against (aside from the Tigers, Angels and Orioles). He has a 119 tOPS+ at Fenway.
  19. I think Nimmo could be a value play because he missed the time and is coming off injury.
  20. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/jose-abreu-547989?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb It's weird, because his EV is still really high. That -8 run value on the 4 seamer is something of a concern. Looks like he's still hitting the ball hard but his launch angle is just lower.
  21. It's the "reasonableness" that is my concern. The drop in power needs to bump the contract down a bit.
  22. Cron would have to be a trade acquisition and I mentioned him as a target midseason this year. Abreu has less HRs in 2022 than he did in 2020. I'd be wary of giving him a lot of money at 36. Could they buy low on a returning Conforto? Seems like he's a better fit than Nimmo for this lineup? IDK. Can you trust Rodon to stay healthy enough for a large contract? I'd rather trade for a younger guy than go the FA route.
  23. I would keep the shift, add robo k zone, pitch clock and not let batters step out of the box except for injury or equipment issue.
  24. A stricter version of the outside part of the plate would definitely increase runs. Right now, pitchers get too much leeway out there.
