  1. Of all the pulls you're going with it's Alex Gordon? I'd take Paul Konerko at 1B with his pull rate. He'd be a HOFer. Also, give me Nelson Cruz for DH.
  2. They needed and wanted to trade Duran, but overvalued him. Weird way to do business.
  3. They need all the bullpen help they can get. I wouldn't DFA Gamboa TBH. Not sure what the ceiling is on guys like Capra, Ward, Seigler, etc. They might be able to OPS 600 though.
  4. I feel bad for him. He was basically iced out from talking with the current group of players. He knows how to hit. The current hitting structure isn't working. He sees the offense completely failing. He had a HOF career. He's checked out because the org has shown they don't really care about his true opinions anymore. He's just there to cash a check. A lot of us have had a job like that before.
  5. That's what happens when you have rally killers like Durbin, Story, IKF and Duran in the lineup. Even Rafaela likes to swing at pitches above his head early in the game. You can only trust him when it's late and close. The starting lineup tonight was absolutely disgusting. You can't start that many guys under 600 OPS. Just throw Mayer out there. Send IKF to the moon. Nate Eaton and Nick Sogard aren't as bad as some of the guys we are throwing out there every damn day.
  6. It doesn't feel like Witherspoon's ETA is '27. Phillips in '28 might be pushing it too. Wehunt hasn't really been very good in AA. Wouldn't be surprised if he never makes it. '27 for Monegro is kinda crazy considering he'll be coming of TJS. Don't really see that happening next year.
  7. Even if he was in the rotation, the Sox still wouldn't score runs for him.
  8. Talk about a snooze fest. I like Speier, but whenever Stats Masterson is on the tv, it's not good.
  9. Add Yordan and this team is a .500 team. Whoopdeedoooooooooooooo...
  10. 5 hitters in this lineup under 600 OPS..........................
  11. For a 28 y/o DH who is under contract for 3 seasons @ 19M (one season that is already over). It's a BIG price tag. For Soto, it was a guy that was younger and played on the grass.
  12. The leg kick is what helped him breakout in '24. What he needs to do is just find one swing and stick with it.
  13. Of the 4 top OPS guys in the Eastern League, Arias is the youngest by 4 years.
  14. The talk about Alvarez is that a trade would be Juan Soto like in terms of the return.
  15. Going back to ST, Crochet had been off. Not sure if it was the increase in IP last season, an injury or something else.
  16. Luzardo is 50/50 on throwing a trainwreck start. Good news for him is he's going against the Red Sox. Is he still tipping pitches?
  17. We're all just riffing here. Some just less successfully than others.
  18. He did sign a 5 year contract. Maybe he sees that elusive 5th season! 🐶🐶
  19. Aside from Crochet and Bello, the rotation has held up. Suarez 2.77 ERA Tolle 2.78 ERA Early 3.16 ERA Gray 3.18 ERA
  20. And Dave Roberts went down for stealing 2b one time. And Beni made a catch that is routinely caught every night in MLB but everyone acts like it's the greatest catch in modern Red Sox history.
